February is a month to celebrate the lives and legacies within the Black community. Your tech chaplains are excited this year to share a bit more about our personal histories as Black people:
Our Founder Shamika writes:
I was a first-generation college student. Math camp director Dr. Max Warshauer encouraged me to apply to Stanford University. I was blessed and excited to be given the opportunity to learn there. While at Stanford, I studied African and African American Studies. I also studied abroad in Japan. This is me on graduation day in June of 2011.
Follow along on our social media to get glimpses into the past of Shamika and Javon to learn more about who we are and where we came from.
