Urgent Need: Volunteers for Friday and Saturday

Edgewater Family,
There is an urgent need for volunteers to help with mud-out of homes in Baton Rouge. Mud-out is the process of removing belongings, furniture, flooring, and sheetrock that have been damaged by floodwaters so that mold does not cause further damage.
Our team today was able to help Justin Langford's (former EBC member) parents and Allison's (EBC member and missionary to North Africa) dad with mud-out, but there is still much work to be done. Our hope is to send as many 4-person teams as possible to the Baton Rouge area in the coming days and weeks. Here are the details for our trips scheduled for the next two days:
  • Leaving Edgewater at 7:00a, both Friday 8/19 and Saturday 8/20
  • Bring items like crowbars, X-acto knives (box cutters/utility knives), and brooms
  • Bring a hearty lunch and water - mud-out is hard work!
  • Donations of 18- or 22-gallon rubbermaid tubs, cleaning products like Clorox, and rubber gloves and work gloves are greatly appreciated!
Please sign-up if you are available to serve this weekend!
