Getting Up Close and Personal in Herculaneum: A Story of Sewers and Corpses
Thursday 16th March, 6:30-7:30pm
Room G.19, Faculty of Classics
Join Professor Andrew Wallace-Hadrill, former Director of the Herculaneum Conservation Project and of the British School at Rome, on a journey through the Roman underbelly to find out about the personal and private lives of the people who lived - and died - in the exceptional site of Herculaneum.
This event is part of the Cambridge Science Festival.
We're wishing our Curator, Susanne Turner, the very best of luck as she goes on maternity leave at the start of this month. While she's busy training up the newest and smallest member of the Museum team, her post will be covered by Sophie Hawkins. We warmly welcome Sophie to the Museum from February 1st.
