I was asked by someone who knows me very well "Chica, why in the world are you getting married on Satan's holiday weekend, AKA Valentine's Day?" My response - "It is Chinese New Year!" LOL "OK that makes sense now!"
Since who knows when we can have a fun, dancing party and we already missed October, we decided the next best date was Chinese New Year. We had a great time and are so thankful to have such great friends that helped make everything possible.
The Venue:

The Food:

Asia Pacific - Our favorite Chinese place on Pleasantburg knocked it out of the park with egg rolls, Chinese stir-fried veggies, and chicken fried rice. If you haven't been there, go check them out. La Especial on Wade Hampton - They are my go-to place for tres leche cake!
The Hair:
Michele Dunn - My badass hair dresser who always seems to get what I need without me having to say much. I felt like I had so much hair and it looked so simple but cool. Douglas had to help take out all the layers and the bobby pins! LOL
The Flowers:
Rachel Vann - Realtor, Artist, Salsa Dancer and now she can add Floral Designer to her list of skills. She created beautiful bouquets for Ashly and I and a last minute (like literally an hour before the wedding) swag for the arch. Due to the weather, we had to move the wedding inside. Since it was so last minute I didn't to try to figure out how to add some color or ask someone to do something. Rachel said "Chica, you can not get married under a brown arch! I will be back in an hour!" She was and it looked beautiful!
The Officiant:
Tina - was our officiant, helped clean up, is always there for support. It has been a God send to have worked with her all of these years.
The Crew:
The Thompsons - helped us set up, tear down, ran the event and managed the bar!
Angela - part of the decorating and teardown crew and reminded me to breathe.
Liz - yummy desserts
Jenny and Kris (Christmas Light Ladies) - for picking up the food
Brandy - for helping back up and help get the kid ready!
So thank you to everyone and here is to a new journey!
