Happy July!

The rain has been a welcome break from all the heat and dryness. My garden has picked up it’s droopy, sad state. I still don’t have much of a green thumb but I am working on it. If something survives my ineptitude I am thrilled. I have said no new plants until the fall when it is cooler but then Lowes has a clearance rack I always check and Martin’s Nursery had a big sale.......LOL I am still having no real luck with veggies! I don’t know what I do wrong but I still keep trying. How are your veggies and plants surviving? Do you have a good tip you would like to share?

My issues with the garden got me thinking about summer skin issues. Has your skin become more dry and rough or oily and slick? My skin gets to looking like my garden, wilted and dull but, I know some of you have the exact opposite problem.Check out the Skin Savy Tip below for suggestions.

Until we connect……create a beautiful day,

Salsa at Sunset

Raspberry Moon is a sponsor of Salsa at Sunset again this year and is a member of Upstate International. If you missed our June event don’t worry, you can catch us on July 22 and August 19 in Downtown Greenville at the Aloft hotel area. The fun get’s started around 7pm until 10pm with a live band. This a free, family friendly event.

I love salsa, it brings people together through the beauty of dance. You can salsa all over the world. I didn’t get to go in Israel but I did go my last night in India! Dance is a universal language and gives people a common ground. It brings together people from all races, social economical backgrounds and religion. I think if more people danced, especially salsa, we could heal our broken pieces not just as individuals but as a community, and even on a global level. Is that attainable? I don’t know but it sure sounds more fun than some other options.

An old picture of me - This is how long I have been doing Salsa at Sunset - hair was very short then! I think this was from 2015.

If you are interested in being a sponsor of this cultural event, please contact me and I will get you in touch with the right people. If you are not a member of Upstate International, please join today. I have had some wonderful experiences over the last 18 years I guess with this group. I love socializing with people from all over the world. They offer language classes, hikes, outings, book club and so much more.

Summer Refresher Facial

Pineapple and Lychee is the delicious enzyme and mask duo this month! Makes you feel like you are on a tropical island enjoying a pina colada. I love fresh pineapple. I have been to 2 pineapple groves - 1 in Okinawa and 1 in Hawaii and the taste of freshly harvested pineapple is amazing. I generally don’t buy fresh pineapple because I don’t feel it tastes as good BUT crazy enough I do love the frozen pineapple from Costco. When you open the bag it smells like a freshly picked pineapple. Did you know pineapples are a sign of hospitality?
