SPECIAL OFFER - Limited time only

Christmas Special - 20% Discount on any of my paintings in the Abstract Gallery in my website. Offer ends on New Years Eve 2015

Check out the following link to see works included in this offer.
The offer does not include my shipwreck series.

Below are a few examples of images included in this offer.

Australian Society of Marine Artists

Recently I was honoured to be accepted as a member of the Australian Society of Marine Artist.

Membership is awarded to artists who are working towards greater knowledge and competency or who are aspiring marine artists and wish to improve their standard.   It means that I am eligible to enter the Society's exhibitions - with my entries subject to scrutiny by a Selection Committee.

I am working towards becoming an Exhibiting Member, which is the category that is conferred on members whose work meets the Society's standards.  Works submitted by an exhibiting member are not subject to jury selection.

ASMA is a professional organization which supports a community of specialised interests.  Exhibiting members may enter into any of the Society's exhibitions, and use ASMA after their name.

As my current and future focus will mostly be producing works with a maritime theme - hence my special discount offer above for my abstract works - this is an exciting milestone for me.   I look forward to submitting some of my shipwreck paintings in the next exhibition by ASMA.

The image below is the latest in my The Last Feet series that will be exhibited in The Arts Centre, Gold Coast City Gallery from 6th February  27 March 2016

Just Below the Surface

The exhibition Just Below the Surface has been and gone.    We sold some works, and the exposure was good for both of us.  Traffic to my website has increased as a result of the exhibition.

Click the link below to see two slideshows, one with all the works included in this exhibition, and one with just my works.

My demonstration of some basic encaustic techniques was enjoyed by all who attended.
I will be demonstrating again at a future date, and if enough interest is expressed, I will consider setting up regular classes to teach this beautiful medium.

Some of you may not be aware of what Encaustic painting is, and if you are interested in learning about  how it originated more than 2000 years ago and its relative recent history and revival, I have written a brief background in a blog that you might be interested in reading.   Below is the link to What is Enacustic in my blog.
