Detail from my Resin painting "A Beautiful World".
Hi everyone

Lots of news as always in my newsletter.  A new obsession, my solo exhibition at the Currumbin RSL, a Huge Art Sale, and Workshops, The Gallery in the Corridor, a Prize, a forthcoming solo exhibition, and an Abstract Art Exhibition at RQAS.
Please forward my newsletter to anyone who might be interested.

RESIN OBSESSION

My new obsession - Resin.  Over the last four months, I have been concentrating on learning to paint with Epoxy Resin, and am now offering to teach Resin as well as Encaustic in my studio Tallai, Gold Coast, Queensland.

Resin Art has recently become very popular because of the extraordinary vivid colours and fine detail obtained when colour pigments are added. The Resin I use is epoxy resin which is a hard, UV resistant, clear laminating resin.

I have a new gallery in my website that will take you straight to my Resin Gallery.  http://www.gaylereicheltart.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html

If you wish to commission a piece, you can give me your choice of colours and the size you would like, and I will create a custom painting.
It is possible to do bench-tops, splash-backs, coffee tables and much more with resin.  Contact me if you wish to discuss.

Below are a few examples of my new resin work, but there are many more in my website.  All are available for purchase at a very reasonable price and lay-buys and commissions accepted.

A Beautiful World, 90cm Multi Layer Resin Wall Art.

John was rather excited when I finished A Beautiful World.  It is very reminiscent of the Crab Nebula, which is a Supernova explosion.  If you google it, you will see a strong resemblance.

THE LAST FLEET AND NEW BEGINNINGS
is currently showing at the Currumbin RSL, 165 Duringan Street, Currumbin. Qld.  4223
until 29th March 2017.

The Currumbin RSL is a wonderful club, with fantastic food, great views of the river, friendly staff,
and they frequently have wonderful free live music events - as well as lots of other events.

I hope that some of you can make the time to come and see my artwork in The Waterside Gallery
before the end of March.

ART SALE
The time has come - for a Huge Art Sale.   I need to make room in my house so that I can
produce more paintings.

So I am offering more than 50 of my works at a substantially reduced price for a limited time -
until the end of February.

I have created a new Gallery in my website for the works at marked prices.
Contact me to discuss options if you are interested in purchasing any at this bargain price.
Lay-buys accepted.

WORKSHOPS

I have expanded my Workshop Repertoire.   I am now offering to teach Resin or Encaustic in my air conditioned studios in Tallai.

For the Resin Workshops - I can take a maximum 2 students at a time.  I supply all materials for $180 per student per 3 hour session, and you can create your own 60cm circular painting to take home to hang on your wall, or as a gift for someone special.

I am offering a DISCOUNT of $150 per student per session for 2 and up to 4 students at a time

Students can collect their cured resin piece the next day, or arrange for me to post to you.  Resin needs to remain untouched for 24 hours to cure enough to travel.  In 72 hours, it is completely cured.

In my Encaustic Workshops, I can take a maximum of 4 students.

The cost for one student is $150 per day per from 9am - 3pm.  I supply all materials and equipment.  All you need to bring is an apron and some lunch.  Everything else is provided.

For group bookings, a DISCOUNT for  applies, and the total cost for a group booking for four students is $500.00.

For best results, I recommend two or three days, but one day will teach you the very basics and enable you to go away and set up your own studio to continue using this fascinating medium at home.
GALLERY IN THE CORRIDOR

I have a large body of work exhibiting with my fellow artists in
The Gallery in the Corridor,
Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum
, 205 Main Street, Beenleigh 4207.

My wall offers both Encaustic and Resin Art, and John has a half wall space there also now for his
Telescopic Astronomy Photographs.

Most of the works on my wall is included in my Art Sale.

Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum.

The Village, Gallery and the Village Cafe are now open seven days a week from 9am until 3pm.

The Village is a wonderful place to take a step back in time and see how our early settlers lived and worked.

This current display will be here until the end of March, when it will be refreshed with new work.

All work is for sale - Lay-buys and Commissions accepted.

I won 3rd Prize in 'The Great Australia Day Art Exhibition & Competition' held in the Exhibition Hall at the Beenleigh Historical Village & Museum for my charcoal drawing titled "The Blacksmith".   The judging was by people's choice, and I was quite thrilled to win 3rd Prize.
