Interested in expanding education and learning in your community? Spend the day exploring Junction’s learning spaces, getting inspired by local presenters, and uncovering connections across the region.
In the first half of the day, we will explore several different local spots that serve as great community resources. After lunch, we will dive deeper by exploring themes rather than places, connecting participants with opportunities both in Junction and beyond.
From modernizing the local library to improving teacher retention to creating safe spaces for youth – come get inspired as we learn what works, what doesn’t, and what you can bring back to your own community!
Guest speakers will include:
- Andrew Helton, Librarian, Kimble County Library
- Brett Mosley, Director, TTU Outdoor Learning Center
- Erin Guerrero, Director, Junction Commmunity After School Program (CASP)
- John Guerrero, CASP "Wellness Wednesdays" facilitator and board member
- Ken Wimberley, Superintendent, Junction ISD
- Dr. Craig Rotter, Executive Director of the Texas Rural Leadership Program, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Texas A&M University
