Recruitment process opens for key positions

We are now accepting applications for two senior leadership positions.

The roles of Principal and Vice Principal - Strategy and Skills are currently advertised through recruitment consultants Aspen People.

The closing date for both positions is Monday 29 October 2018.

SQA Star Awards

We have been shortlisted in two categories at the 2018 SQA Star Awards, with two of our students nominated for the College Candidate of the Year Award.

Reegan Stevenson (left) and Ross Munro (right) will be looking to continue our impressive winning streak - with an Ayrshire College student winning the award for the past four years.

We are also a finalist in the Partnership Award category at the SQA Star Awards, for our ‘Take the Time’ project.

‘Take the Time’ was developed by the College’s Supported Learning team to give its students the chance to complete academic units by spending time at Grange Care Home in Kilmarnock. The Connect to Enterprise group became accredited befrienders and spent time with care residents in one-to-one and group sessions.

Students to perform at SQA Star Awards

Two of our HNC Music students have been selected to perform at the awards ceremony, held in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum this November.

19-year-old Annabel Thornett was encouraged to apply by her lecturers, who had been impressed with her singing voice on last year's Access to HNC Music course.

HNC Music classmate Kieran Robertson will accompany her on acoustic guitar.

College Development Network Awards

We have been shortlisted in four categories at the College Development Network (CDN) College Awards 2018.

We have been shortlisted in the Digital Learning, Essential Skills, Health Promoting College, and Innovation award categories.
