Dear ArtVan Friends,

With 1,200 ArtBags distributed over the winter months and a growing demand for more, your support is essential to ensure ArtVan Youth continue to enjoy not just enlivening therapeutic arts directly in their neighborhoods. ArtVan is one of the only Youth programs directly serving eight under-resourced neighborhoods across Brunswick, Biddeford, Bath, Lewiston, and Auburn. Just last Tuesday, 12 Youth were lined up beside their colorful bikes waiting for us to arrive and open the van to share individual ArtBags full of art supplies that encourage creative self-expression.

For over a decade, ArtVan continues to build relationships with community members and organizations through our therapeutic programming at no cost to our core neighborhoods. Our goal is to raise $10,000 from individual donors and business sponsors to support summer programs. Will you help us reach our goal?!

Count me in! Let's raise $10,000 before July.

Together, you sky rocketed us to the top!  Thank you for showing up and answering our call to vote for ArtVan in Atlantic Federal Credit Union's latest community contest to win $1,000 to the nonprofit with the most votes. With so many nonprofits in our local community, we're launching into our fundraising season with such momentum and gratitude!

And we couldn't be there for our Youth without the steady support of foundations and philanthropic organizations who deeply invest in the wellness of our neighbors. Thank you to Maine Women's Fund for their latest grant and the Onion Foundation for their steady and generous support throughout the pandemic.

Shop ArtVan's handmade journals & Sunflower ArtBags at this Sunday's Caravan Spring Artist Market in Brunswick (5/16). A special thank you to Nikki Pilgrim and Vessel & Vine's Nikaline Iacono for hosting us!

'Hats for Sale' Cap-tivated Our Minds

For the last couple weeks, a majority of the 'Hats for Sale' collection was featured in the windows of Riley Insurance on Maine Street in downtown Brunswick. As the warm weather and sunny days brought many of us out and about, each hat showcased the creativity of repurposed materials from local artists. Together, we not only raised over $500 for ArtVan but inspired smiles and creative reflections across the community. A huge thank you to our participating artists, to the Riley Insurance family, and artist Christine DeTroy Jr. who championed, created, and curated the gallery.
