Review of Potential for Future Delivery
-Team Update by Janet Whitley

As mentioned in our previous Newsletter, over recent months there have been discussions within the Scottish Leaders Forum Leadership Development Group on the work and future of Collective Leadership for Scotland.  It has been confirmed that there will be no further Scottish Government funding for this work in its current location after March 2023 and it has been decided that there should therefore be a collaborative review with partners to discern the potential for future delivery of Collective Leadership for Scotland.
With a wealth of positive evaluation materials to hand that illustrate the impact of the work and the extent to which it has value across our wider system, and significant and growing demand for the work undertaken, this will be an opportunity to identify the aspects of the CLfS provision that would be most of value across our wider system, what business and resourcing models are feasible and what level of contribution can be made by beneficiaries of the work, leading to an evidence-based decision on what we do next.  The Review work will commence in the coming weeks and we will be back in touch soon to offer a range of opportunities for you to participate, share your views and contribute to our exploration of possible futures.

Session on New Offer: Coaching for Systemic Change

Text reads: Are you seeking to work and lead collectively? Coaching for Systemic Change. The text sits on vibrant pink and purple shapes. The forms are organic. There is the CLFS logo in the bottom corner.
If you are interested in our new offer 'Coaching for Systemic Change', join our session on 7 September @ 10am to learn more.
  • Are you working to bring about systemic change and transformation in your own organisation, in partnerships, in localities?
  • Are you recognising that doing things in the usual way is not getting the results needed?
  • Are you exploring the place of coaching in the work you do; be that systemic, group, or individual coaching or taking a coaching approach?
  • Are you interested in learning with and from others who are committed to utilising coaching in this space?

Working and leading collectively for systemic change and transformation can feel uncertain, exhausting and disorientating, even when it feels like the right thing to do. There are many people who are using different types of coaching as an effective way of working in this complexity.

The Collective Leadership for Scotland team invite you to a conversation around utilising coaching in its various forms, seeking to support individuals or teams who are trying to make change and adopting a more systemic approach. If you are interested in bringing your own learning to share with others and to learn from others, this event is for you.

The Collective Leadership Practice Team all hold an Advanced Certificate in Coaching Practice and are members of the Association for Coaching.

After a successful Illuminating Leadership Festival earlier this year, Collective Leadership for Scotland and partners are now inviting you to join the Autumn Illuminating Leadership Event Series. We are taking the opportunity to reflect and share learning from the festival, and more broadly on the work over the past 10 years of the Collective Leadership for Scotland team.

We welcome all those who have been involved in our work over the years to share their stories of personal and systemic impact. The Events Series provides a platform to bring together people with an interest and experience in collective leadership practice. Together, hosts and participants can share their learning and experiences, create and expand their knowledge, and ultimately illuminate the light and shade of collective leadership.
