Jeena Cho will present
"Better Lawyering Through Mindfulness.”

Jeena Cho is the co-author of the best-selling book, The Anxious Lawyer, An 8-Week Guide to a Joyful and Satisfying Law Practice Through Mindfulness and Meditation (ABA). She started her career as an Assistant State Attorney and also practiced bankruptcy law for over fifteen years. She is a regular contributor to ABA Journal, and Above the Law where she covers resilience, work/life integration, and wellness in the workplace. She regularly speaks and offers training on stress/anxiety management, diversity, and inclusion, well-being, mindfulness, and meditation. Her work has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine, Women’s Health, MSNBC, Wall Street Journal, and Forbes magazine. She has offered hundreds of workshops at law firms and bar associations around the country.


In honor of breast cancer awareness month, SCWLA Board member, Stephanie A. Nye, will discuss breast cancer prevention and describe how her mindfulness practice helped her during her breast cancer journey.

Stephanie A. Nye is the Director of Externships and Special Academic Programs at the University of South Carolina School of Law.  Prior to joining the law school, Ms. Nye served as both law clerk and legal counsel to the Honorable Jean Hoefer Toal, former Chief Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court, for over 10 years.   Ms. Nye also has extensive experience in both government and private practice.
