Dear Friends,

2022 is coming to a close, and while we've had a lot to contend with from COVID to extreme weather events, we've come through stronger than ever.

We're so proud of everything our community has accomplished in our education, conservation, volunteer programs, and so much more.

But, we know there is more we can do.

Your gift, in any amount, by December 31 will keep Hoyt Arboretum programs growing.
“Leading field trips is incredibly rewarding and introducing Hoyt Arboretum to a new generation is a true privilege. Some have obviously spent quality time outdoors, while others see the park as a wilderness, but they’re all typically joyful, very curious, and happy to be at the Arboretum.”

-Eric Mitchell, Volunteer Nature Educator, and HAF Board Member
At the last Pop-Up Nature of the season, a grinning mother with her three eager daughters presented their Passports for their sixth, prize-earning stamps. “They are so excited to learn what their prize is” she stated while being led by the hand to the booth.

“With travel, camps, girl scouts, and all the other summer activities, we tried to make it to Pop-Up Nature as much as we could.”
“I was so glad to have a structured activity to bring the boys to that would encourage wonder and excitement for the outdoors, trees, forests, and nature. Tree Time! is great because the walks are more or less the same every week, but they build upon one another, and I’m definitely noticing the lessons sinking in over time.”

-Travis Docktor, Tree Time! Father of 2
“We perceive that, as our society grows in appreciation of the environment and concerns about climate change, the Arboretum shines more and more brightly as a serene gem for connecting with and learning about nature, and preserving a healthful environment for present and future generations.”

-Arlena Barnes and Bill Kinsey, Volunteer Community Scientists
