We've become so used to having technology in our daily lives that when we're without, it feels like a part of us is missing!! Well, my pc had been acting up for months.  Sometimes I just gave up because it was always crashing.  Then one day it just crashed and didn't wake up.  So I was without a pc for most of December, I apologise if I was a bit silent some days, but trying to wrestle time on the only remaining pc in the house which had become superglued to the husband and kids was arduous.  Motto of the story is: never order a new pc in December.

Moisturising is not just for your face, it's for
your body too.

YOUR SKIN'S WINTER WARDROBE

Treat your skincare routine like your winter wardrobe.  Just as we need to add vests, t-shirts and extra layers to keep our bodies warm, so too does our skin need extra layers.

An excellent option is to add a serum.  I add a thin application of Dermaviduals Vitamin Serum (£23) under my moistuiser.  A richer version is Vitamin Serum Plus (£32).
If you're looking for a serum that's more powerful and hard-working with peptides and advanced ingredients to stimulate collagen growth in your skin, the best one is the Environ Avance DFP312.
ENVIRON PRICE INCREASE
Environ have put up their prices so those of you on AVST will notice this.  AVST 1-3 is now £41 and AVST 4-5 £47.  You will also notice the packaging will be undergoing a make-over to make it look more sophisticated.  I applaud companies that keep up-to-date with the look of their packaging, I just wish the price didn't have a make-over too.
Oh well!
Chinese Lion Dance routine
Our Chinese New Year celebrations in Woking will be on
Saturday 28th January in Woking town centre by the shopping centres.  As always, there will be a parade followed by shows at 12.30pm and 2.30pm consisting of lion dance, Chinese dancing, martial arts, plus stalls selling Chinese goods.  I will be very busy doing make-up and costume and showcasing 3 dances (dancing girls not me) as well as taking part in the lion dance.

Click on the image above for a video clip of our lion dance on stage.
CHINESE NEW YEAR - COCKEREL OR ROOSTER
January 28th starts the new year of the rooster.  If you are born in the year of the rooster, you are observant, hardworking and resourceful, as well as being a great organiser.  You like to be the centre of attention and try to be well presented and attractive.  Roosters are typically active and energetic people.  You get on well with an ox or a snake but not so with rats, rabbits, horses or pigs.

Other Rooster years: 2005, 1993, 1981, 1969, 1957, 1945.
EASYFUNDRAISING
While you're browsing online looking for new year offers, try doing your shopping via Easyfundraising.  Maybe the website you're shopping from supports donations to charity so every time you shop with them, a % goes to the charity of your choice.  You don't spend a penny more than your purchase.  If you use the link below to join Easyfundraising, the charity of my choice (Autism Trust) gets an extra £1 !!!
