Morning at the Capital

8:00 – 10:00 am

Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods will host a meeting at the State Capital to get to know our State House Representatives and Senators. We will gather from 8:00 am to 9:00 am in Room 230, in the Capital, which is just to the left of the main staircase. From 9:00 am to 10:00 am we will mingle with the representatives, lobbyists and public in the hallways until the 10:00 am session of the House and Senate where we can observe them at work.

Please e-mail Chair@BuckheadCouncil.org if you are interested in joining us at any point of this morning at the Capital and I will get you specific directions as well as transportation and parking alternatives. All are welcome!

We will get updates from Senator Jason Esteves on what topics are gaining steam at the capital and find out what bills have made it to Cross Over Day.

We will also get an update from APS Board Member Cynthia Briscoe Brown on what is happening at the Atlanta Public Schools.
