This week, Wave Four of Moogfest 2017 is revealed, highlighting two new partners that will curate a series of daytime programming as part our Future Thought experience.

Also contained in this weekly transmission new music from Russel E.L. Butler, who will co-present a non-binary electronic workshop with the S1 Portland Synth Library at Moogfest 2017.
West Coast tastemakers Stones Throw/Leaving Records will co-present hands-on masterclasses and workshops with label-head Peanut Butter Wolf, MNDSGN, Deantoni Parks, and Sudan Archives. Stones Throw/Leaving will also co-present this year's sleep concert from Laraaji, which was announced in Wave One.

Legendary DJ Greg Belson will be bringing his knowledge from the record crates to present a masterclass alongside Peanut Butter Wolf for encyclopedic musical storytelling that only DJ's of this calibre can so eloquently pull off.

Portland-based S1 Gallery // The Synth Library hosts modular synthesizer workshops for female and non-binary patrons looking to enter and expand the world of audible modulations. Owners and operators Felisha Ledesma and Alissa DeRubeis will be bringing their talents and tonality to Moogfest 2017 in workshop form and we are so pleased to have them.

Stay tuned as more Future Thought programming is revealed in next week's Wave Five transmission.

Today we debut a track produced in tandem for Moog Music’s new mini-biopic featuring Russell E.L. Butler. The track is titled “Sirens from a Distance” and delivers on the dance floor front as per usual with Butler, but with the insights from the video you see how black, queer, and Bermudan identity have shaped Butler's approach.

This week adds a Moog Mother-32 Analog Synthesizer to the growing list of creative tools available to participants in our Sharing is Caring newsletter-sharing program.

Expand the global Moogfest community by inviting fellow innovators, thinkers, doers, and experimenters to join the conversation—and earn an opportunity to win a Minimoog Model D, a pair of VIP tickets to Moogfest and more...
