At last, after seven and a half years researching, writing, and editing, The Purest Gold is published!
I will be throwing a party to celebrate. It will be on February 25, Saturday afternoon at 3pm at the Friends Meeting House, 1825 Upland Avenue in Boulder. I will read some passages from the book, talk a little about its origins and the research behind it, and answer questions. I’ll have copies of the book for sale and will be happy to sign them. And we’ll have some refreshments. All my friends and their friends are invited.
I am excited to finally be able to share with you the story of identical twins Lily and Rose and their struggles to individuate, and of Daniel, their stern minister father whose faith almost destroyed his family—all set amidst the challenges of traveling across the Great Plains in a covered wagon and setting in a frontier town at the foot of the Rockies.
