Practice Guidance for Neglect
Two local Case Reviews have highlighted neglect as a priority issue for the Board. Are you familiar with practice guidance available in the London Child Protection Procedures? The guidance is available through the CHSCB website and includes definitions and indicators of neglect. Find out more HERE.
Educate against Hate!
The Government has launched a website providing advice to teachers and parents on protecting children from extremism. The website includes resources and guidance drawn up by Government and charities including NSPCC and Childnet.

Zero Tolerance for FGM
6th February is the International Day for Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). To help mark his day, Public Health and CHSCB have worked with key services, including those in Health, Children's Social Care and the Police to develop a joint strategy to tackle FGM. The strategy will be available on the CHSCB website on Zero Tolerance Day. Further information on FGM is available HERE.
Do you know about MAPPA?
Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements are the statutory process through which the Police, Probation and Prison Services work together with other agencies to manage the risks posed by the most serious offenders in the community in order to protect the public. Find out more HERE.
