Remembrance Day Statement
from the Acting Mayor

Today, we partner once again with our Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 375 to commemorate Remembrance Day with a small, in-person ceremony at our cenotaph on Yonge Street (safety protocols in place). We encourage everyone to pause, reflect and remember those who laid down their lives for our community and our country. Give thanks for their service and give thanks for our freedom.

We're Ready for Winter... Are You?

Despite the warm weather we’ve been having, winter is just around the corner and City staff are ready to respond! We clear roads, sidewalks and windrows as quickly and efficiently as possible. You can help by keeping roads and sidewalks clear of parked cars when it’s snowing and before snow is expected so our plows can get through.

Top 5 Resident Inquiries – Fall 2021

Last year, the City’s customer service centre fielded close to 100,000 inquiries! This season's top five questions asked ranged from questions about tax and water bills to streetlights not working to recreational programming for children.

Help Shape How Land
is Used in Our Community

How should the City regulate Zoning By-laws for rental units, redevelopment in neighbourhoods, parking, sheds and more? Join in the online discussion through a series of virtual public information centres starting this fall through early 2022.

We're Hiring!

Our recreation team has openings for facility screeners, part-time reception, facility attendants, lifeguards and swim instructors, as well as fitness and skating positions.

Winter Fun Kicks Off this Weekend

Our Winter Series kicks off this Saturday (Nov. 13) with our Santa’s Village Drive-Thru in Richmond Green Park (limited spots still available). Later this month, we turn on Richmond Hill Winter Lights in Richmond Green for all to enjoy through the winter. If you like lights, don't forget to take part in our Light Up Richmond Hill contest! Submit a photo of your decorated home to our website by December 10 for a chance to win a prize pack.
