Online Voting Starts Tuesday!

January's By-election for Mayor starts next week! Look for your Voter Information Package in your mail. You can only vote once – choose either online or in-person. Under current provincial COVID-19 restrictions, safety protocols for in-person voting may lead to longer wait times and outdoor line-ups. Please consider voting online, which is a fast, convenient and secure option.

Richmond Green Skate Trail Now Open!

Strap on your skates and glide through the trees at our 250-metre looped skate trail with lights for evening skating! Remember to stay off lakes, rivers, ponds and stormwater ponds as the ice may not be safe. Even if the weather's been cold, other factors like water flow and fluctuating water levels can contribute to unsafe conditions.

Winter Lights to Brighten Your Night

Need a change of scenery? Enjoy a magical evening stroll through the Richmond Green Heritage Walkway to see trees beautifully lit! Fun for all ages, Richmond Hill’s Winter Lights is on now through winter.

Stay Active at Home with Virtual Programs

We have a line up of virtual recreation for all ages. We have programming for children, adults and adults 55 and older that includes yoga, watercolours, line dancing, STEAM programs and more. Learn something new this winter!

No More Overdue Fines at Your Library

Nothing should stand between you and the books, video games, apps and programs offered at your library. That’s why Richmond Hill Public Library has stopped collecting fines for overdue materials and forgiven existing overdue fines on customer accounts!

Waste Bins and Garbage Tags Available Online

While our Operations Centre and Access Richmond Hill are closed for in-person services from January 5 until at least January 26 due to COVID-19, waste bins and garbage tags are available for purchase/exchange and delivery online! Garbage tags are also available at any Richmond Hill library.
