Give Where You Live This Holiday Season!

Make a difference in someone’s life and spread some cheer by donating to our annual Holiday Donation Drive on now 'til December 15! Drop off non-perishable food, new toys (no stuffed animals, please), books, gift cards, toiletries and new clothing for children and teens weekdays (8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) or on the weekend (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) to our Operations Centre at 1200 Elgin Mills Road East.

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Dog licences are ready for renewal. We wouldn't mind some new bling for our collars. It means our off-leash park visits can still happen. Plus, if our humans ever get lost, we hear our licenses will help them find us. Seems like a win-win. Now where's our ball?

Fall Yard Waste Collection Extended

Still have leaves to rake? Good news…we’ve added one more week of yard waste collection to the schedule! The final yard waste collection of 2021 takes place the week of December 14 on your regular waste collection day.

Taking Aim at Housing Affordability

Council recently endorsed the City’s Affordable Housing Strategy, taking an important step towards providing more affordable choices for current and future residents in Richmond Hill. The strategy outlines a variety of actions the City, in collaboration with the building and development sector and other levels of government, may take to address demand for attainable housing in the private housing market.

Wishing You All the Best this Holiday Season

From all of us here at the City, we're sending you and your loved ones the warmest wishes for the happiest of holidays. Stay safe over the holidays by continuing to follow current health protocols in place. Please note, many of our services will be operating on a reduced schedule during the holidays so be sure to plan ahead.
