My City at Work: Water Services

Richmond Hill’s water distribution network consists of 630 km of watermains, pipes and valves that bring clean water into homes and businesses. Last year, City certified operators performed more than 4,300 tests and samples on our water supply to help ensure our water is safe to drink.

Co-existing in Harmony with Urban Wildlife

From geese to turtles, foxes to beavers, wildlife play an important role in our community, contributing to a healthy and diverse environment. For everyone’s safety, residents are encouraged to keep in mind these tips, including who to call if you encounter an injured or sick animal.

Fireworks Safety Begins with You

Fireworks can be fun to watch for many of us, but when not used safely they can also be dangerous, causing fires and injuries – even death. The safest way to enjoy fireworks is at a professional fireworks display, but if you do plan to use fireworks this summer, use them safely and know the rules.
