🇦🇺Australia-wide | 🌐Online
The application process for the Summer21 Startmate Accelerator cohort is commencing. This cohort will be run virtually once again, meaning people all across Australia and New Zealand will be eligible to participate without having to relocate to Sydney or Melbourne. 

The Startmate Accelerator is a 12-week program for startups who are changing the way we work, live and play, and we’re powered by the most successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists in Australia and New Zealand. Participants will receive an investment of $75k (at their latest valuation or for 7.5%) and be connected to mentors and tools throughout the program.

🌃 Victoria | 🌐Online
StartupVic is launching a new pre-accelerator program, funded by LaunchVic, called Start, Now. The 9-week program is aimed at anyone in Victoria with an idea for a startup that has impact potential for Victoria, or even the world. We have designed this program to empower founders to take action. All of this through our new platform called Now, on which you can find online content, tools, and structured mentor and peer catch-ups.

Interested to invest in a paid accelerator which will take your startup/startup idea to the next level?

The Founder Institute is the world’s largest pre-seed startup accelerator, designed to help startups get to traction and funding. The Sydney Founder Institute is led by Benjamin Chong (Right Click Capital and Sydney Seed Fund) and includes intensive mentorship and access to the FI network in Sydney and abroad. Open to startups that are pre-funding and traction, MVP and prototype-stage projects, and even part-time founders with just ideas.

Key dates: Applications for the Sydney Virtual Autumn 2021 cohort close on 7 February 2021*.
Cost: $799 (Early Admissions)

Are you (or do you know) a researcher in medicine, healthcare or biotech?

MedTech Actuator is accepting applications to the 2021 MedTech Actuator Menzies Fellowship – each valued at $70,000. Two high-potential medical or scientific researchers will each receive tailored mentoring from commercialisation experts, a $20,000 stipend and access to the MedTech Actuator.

Are you involved with increase female participation in STEM and entrepreneurship?

The Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship program supports investment in gender equity initiatives that aim for lasting systemic change by eliminating barriers for women’s participation in STEM education and careers, and entrepreneurship. Apply for grants between $5,000 and $250,000 for projects that increase women’s and girls’ participation in STEM and entrepreneurship.

To apply you must be an organisation incorporated in Australia, a publicly funded research organisation or publicly funded research agency, a vocational education and training provider, a technical and further education institution or a not-for-profit organisation.

Are you a founder, investor or ecosystem builder in Queensland?

QiHub is the Queensland Innovation Hub – an entrepreneur-led online community that showcases and connects Queensland’s innovation and startup ecosystem. This is a fairly new initiative and growing each day across regional Queensland.

The Founders Course is a practical online course that shows you how to succeed as a founder. The course helps you to build and launch a startup in your own time under the guidance of Colin Kinner, one of Australia’s most experienced startup mentors and founder of Startup Onramp.
