Dear  Friend,

As June comes to an end we can really enjoy the full colour of summer. It's certainly evident in the garden with plenty to appreciate.

Ornithogalum pyrenaicum

Bath asparagus, introduced as an edible by the Romans. This bulbous plant produces long narrow heads of small green star-shaped flowers, a charming vertical to set among mat and cushion plants. 50cm. A plant Beth found very useful in her days as a flower arranger.

Liriodendron tulipifera (Tulip Tree)

If you visit the gardens, don’t forget to look up as you walk past the Liriodendron tulipifera (tulip tree) at the far corner of the Water Garden - see if you can spot its green and orange tulip-like flowers.

Succulents for sale – we now have a selection of succulents for sale in the small greenhouse next to the Scree Garden.
We have just released our 2016 calendar with a beautiful photo for each month of the year, taken by one of our staff here at The Beth Chatto Gardens. It is available in the shop and on our website.
We love hearing from you about our gardens, tearoom, our newsletters and the overall service and experience you have with us. We would welcome any feedback you might have. You can get in touch by email, Facebook, phone or visit our website.
