Parshas Balak 5775

Shabbos Schedule

This erev Shabbos, Parshas Balak, neiros should be lit by 8:13pm, though we’ll be davening mincha at 7:00pm. Please remember to repeat kerias shema after 9:21pm.

Early mincha will begin at 6pm.

At 7:20pm we are privileged to hear a shiur from Rabbi Moshe Chaim Kimche entitled, "The Fasters' Conundrum."
Late Mincha will begin at 8:05 followed by shalosh seudos during which we'll continue the 6th perek of Maseches Brachos and grapple with another great halachic question posed to Rav Yitzchak Zilberstein. Maariv will begin and Shabbos will end at 9:21.

Shiva Asar B'Tammuz is on Shabbos so its observance, and the beginning of the mourning period of the 3 weeks, is postponed to Sunday. The fast begins at 4:20am Sunday morning. Shachris on Sunday morning, including selichos and kerias hatorah, will be at 8am and 9am (which will begin in the youth room until the conclusion of the 8am minyan). Maariv will be at 8:40 and not at 8:55 as listed on the bulletin. The fast ends at 9:13pm. If you have any questions regarding fasting or the 3 weeks, please contact Rabbi Bleicher. A summary of the laws of the 3 weeks and 9 days can be found by clicking here.
