Hey there :)

A few years ago, I started to notice that I had sexual hang-ups. I'd been having fun, but I was really in my head. I was afraid of not doing it right, or not looking good... The experience always seemed to be for them, not for me.

There's gotta be more to this! I thought. I wanted to feel genuine pleasure, connection, ease, aliveness. For real—no pretending.

Culturally, we're taught all sorts of silly things to make us feel guilt, shame, and fear around sexuality.

Guilt that you want sex too much (or not enough), that you orgasm too quickly, or take ages to orgasm (or can't at all)...
Shame about your genitals, about your naked body, for being sexual at all...
Fear that you're not good in bed, you're not desirable, you'll be judged...

This gets in the way of real pleasure and connection!

I was looking for something more than this, so I began my adventure in letting go of this stuff... feeling crappy about my body, my performance, expectations about what I should be like.

I went to sexuality workshops, dance classes, Tantric retreats... They worked magic! Allowed me to start healing and letting go of my sexual guilt, fear and shame.

I learnt new ways to relate to myself, others, pleasure, play, self-worth...

And also they were really fun! Loads of dancing and wonderful people. I learnt and gained so much more than what I thought I would.

How are you feeling about... stuff?

If you also wanna let go of sexual hang-ups and discover more play and pleasure, come adventure with me. It'll be powerful and fun. Promise!

Here's a buffet of upcoming events I totally recommend:
The 'something sweet'
A fun evening workshop (I'm facilitating!)

I'm hosting a workshop about Giving & Receiving on 11 Feb, in Melbourne. It's about releasing anxiety, getting out of your head, really experiencing pleasure as a receiver and giver. The workshop is relaxed and casual and perfect for beginners (not expensive either!). Read more about it and get tickets here. It's a small class (and the last one sold out), so get in quick!

This is what a friend said about her experience last time:

"I learned things that’ll be useful for me in lots of everyday contexts, like social settings. And with sex and being playful. I was nervous at first, but it was very friendly and casual. Light. Now knowing that it's not totally ‘sexual’, I feel I can invite friends without them thinking I'm making a ‘move’. Haha. Awesome workshop. Really useful."
The taste-tester
A weekend of workshops

Taste of Love Festival is three days of conscious sexuality workshops, talks, dance parties in Byron Bay (19-21 Feb). You get a taste of all sorts of different things including Slow Sex, Queering the Gendered Body and Finding God In Bed. I'm speaking on the Young, Sexy and Aware panel. Come along! We can hang out on the beach.
The five-course meal
A week-long Tantric retreat

Directly after that is the ISTA Tantric retreat in Byron Bay (22-28 Feb). I rave about this because it is f'ing amazing. Changed my life. NZ also has an ISTA Tantric retreat coming up (8-14 Feb). There are more around the worldCheck 'em out.

If you wanna skyrocket into ease, confidence and aliveness, go to the ISTA retreat. Note that it's not for the faint-hearted.

Freya came to the Melbourne ISTA retreat in November. This is what she says about it:

"My friends went to the retreat and they were all the proof I needed—I knew it was going to be life changing. I was scared to sign up, but am incredibly glad I did. I am so proud of myself for going for it. Top 5 things I've done in my life, I'd say. I've been recommending it ever since—everyone should do it as part of the school curriculum!"

Are you thinking yes, but what if it's scary or sleazy? See the FAQs below.

Or perhaps you're saying Yes, but I'll just wait till next time...  C'mon! Take the plunge! Status quo loves when you say ummm... maybe next time. Adventure, freedom and life love it when you take action!

Msg me if you have Qs. I'd love to talk.

Cait x

If you just new to this and just wanna dip your toe in, start with my workshop on 11 Feb. It's short, casual and awesome :)

FAQs for SexyLove Project workshops

Will it be fun? Definitely. Playfulness + not taking things too seriously are key. This is Tantra after all: it's about pleasure and nourishment, authentically.

Will it be weird? Anything that's different can seem weird at first. It may be an unusual experience, but it'll be expansive... Possibly challenging, but that means that you grow and become more you!

Do I have to do stuff? Or just listen to you talk? A little bit of listening, mostly doing. It's experiential -- this allows you to learn things + make shifts with your mind, emotions and spirit. Powerful stuff.

Do I have to let people touch my butthole/similar? No. This workshop relates to sexuality, but it’s involves non-sexual, uncomplicated + beautiful interaction. Also, you don’t have to do anything, ever -- you’re fully in your personal sovereignty 100% of the time.

Is it for people with partners? Of course. This workshop can transform your relationship. It’s unlikely your partner would feel threatened, etc. Check in with them though!

I have a penis/vagina/something in between. Can I attend? Yes. All welcome.

Queer-friendly? Yep.

Who else will be there? Your friends and cool people you haven’t met yet. (Men and women.) Me. Bring a friend if you’re nervous!
