Opportunity Santa Fe Video Now Available!


Watch the inspiring video showing how our community is coming together for collective impact to improve outcomes for our children and youth on birth to career success, wellbeing and equity.  The 10-minute video combining the contents for the Opportunity Santa Fe Community Summit and the Mayor's Youth Summit also shows a powerful way the youth are being engaged and empowered in developing solutions and calls on all community member to join the collective impact partnership.

Mayor's Cabinet Collective Action Plan

Review the Collective Action Plan approved by the Mayor's Children, Youth and Families Community Cabinet.  The Action Plan recommendations have been developed in partnership with the Santa Fe Birth to Career Collaboration and incorporate findings from in-depth data research as well as broad community and youth inputs from the Mayor's Youth Summit, the Opportunity Santa Fe Community Summit, SF B2C Collaborative Working Groups, and various other forums and survey reports.


Six Americorps VISTAs to Support Santa Fe
Collective Actions!

Santa Fe has received an award for Six Americorps VISTA members to support the collective action plans of the Mayor's Children, Youth and Families Community Cabinet and the Santa Fe Birth to Career Collaboration.  The VISTA members will be recruited in Spring 2016 and will work closely with community leaders and partners to develop and implement community outreach strategies, provide resource coordination and engage youth and adults in the community.

Focus areas will include:

·   Early childhood
·   K-12 extended learning opportunities including afterschool and summer programs
·   Mentoring, tutoring and internship hub
·   Prevention and re-engagement of youth disconnected from school and/or work; and
·   Career pathways and workforce development

Additionally, one VISTA member will be recruited to assist with grant writing and best practice research to support the collective impact efforts.  Further announcements and VISTA job descriptions will be coming soon.
