On 10th and 11th February, we are hosting an incredible afternoon of education and demonstration of 'Ikebana' - traditional art of flower arrangement from Japan.
Lead by Takako Doi, Ikebana Misho-ryu Master from Kyoto, the workshop will begin with an introduction to the flowers, tools, and techniques. After this, you will have the chance to try your hand at a basic composition, using our selection of flowers.
Workshop Fee: $350 (including all necessary tools and materials during the workshop)
*Participants are welcome to keep their flowers after the workshop
*Optional to buy flower vase and/or tools
Session 1: 3:00-4:30pm on 10th February (Saturday)
Session 2: 1:00-2:30pm on 11th February (Sunday)
Session 3: 4:00-5:30pm on 11th February (Sunday)
Please note that this workshop is extremely limited due to space. Also, flowers must be ordered in advance, walk-ins might not be available.
This is the second year we are showing products selected by the Kyoto Design Award. Architects and designers from Japan are flying over with their own designed products to Waka Artisans. Stocks are very limited and only available for two days! Come and visit us!
