We will include biographies of the outreach committee members who are associated with the featured non-profit.  We will include minutes of the month’s meeting as well A third component will be request for human help if we receive requests from any of the non-profits such as needing help with the COT event Coping with Poverty, Jan 252020.  Any questions, call Tommy Fairweather 850-217-1535 or email tommyfair@outlook.com
The current news from our November 1st meeting is the fact that the committee approved four applications for funds.  The non-profits that received our votes are: Children’s Advocacy Center to help their educational programs about child abuse provided in schools in Walton County and Okaloosa County (pending vestry approval). The Blue Door Ministry (provided by St. Andrews) designed to help the homeless in many ways. Caring and Sharing  received money that will help with the mission of helping those in need (pending vestry approval). Last but not least,  the Prison Ministry led by Libby and Charles Fisher received a small grant  to provide books for prisoner book groups lead by Libby.
Christmas Angel Tree

Christ the King is once again partnering with Caring & Sharing and local elementary schools to provide Christmas gifts to children in need here in South Walton.
The Angel Tree will be located in the narthex on Sunday, November 10th, so please take an angel, sign the sheet specifying the number of the Angel you selected and return your gifts to Christ the King by Sunday, December 1st.  Please remember to individually wrap each gift and place all gifts in a large gift bag with the Angel attached thereto.  If you select more than 1 Angel, please select siblings. Sibling Angels will be so designated on the Angel Tree. Gift receipts are encouraged.
These families are so very grateful for your love and generosity.  Thanks for your help in making this year's program a success. Any questions contact: Meredith Spector 340-513-34590.

Members responsible for Angel Tree

Meredith Spector

Hi, my name is Meredith Spector. For our Outreach Committee, I am part of the team for The Angel Tree. A little about me: I was born in Dallas, raised in Springfield, Missouri, and alumni of The University of Kansas. We moved here 6 years ago after living and working in the US and British Virgin Islands in the yachting industry. Kaila and Eli were born there. We found Christ The King and The Tree House in search for a Montessori school. Now six years has passed and we are so grateful for this beautiful place! Today they attend Dune Lakes Elementary for 3rd and 4th grade and I work at 360 Blue and The Sonder Project in accounting. In our spare time, we love to travel, hike in the mountains, spend time with friends and our puppy, Juliet. This is my 3rd year working with Caring and Sharing and the local elementary schools with The Angel Tree. Thank you for your support!
