PRESS RELEASE: HIGHBALL HALLOWEEN 2018, CELEBRATING COSTUMES & CREATIVITY OVER TWO EXTRAORDINARY NIGHTS

Short North Arts District, Columbus, OH - The Short North Alliance invites the Columbus community to join in the celebration of HighBall Halloween on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27.

HB: On The Rocks: Totally '90s

HB: On the Rocks is our annual Friday night tribute to fabulous fashion inspired by music icons, eras, and genres. On Friday, local bands full of girl power will hit the HighBall Halloween Schweppe's Main Stage to deliver the ultimate '90s dance party, with a special headlining performance from Wannabe: A Spice Girls Tribute. Come to HB: On the Rocks dressed as your favorite '90s music legend for the HB: On the Rocks Public Costume Contest. In between sets, see hosts Nina West and NBC4's Monica Day and Matt Barnes dance through the decade on stage and with pop-up performers on High Street. Stay tuned for more Friday night surprises.

HB: High Fashion

Extraordinary style is the name of the game at HB: High Fashion on Saturday night. Local bands will open HB: High Fashion and get you pumped for the main event. See models stomp the runway in inspired costume collections as eight individual & teams of designers compete for the top slot and cash prize in a spectacular show unlike any other: the Battelle Costume Couture Fashion Show. At the end of the night, you too can be a part of the Schweppe's Main Stage spectacle in the HB: High Fashion Public Costume Contest.

HighBall Halloween Crave Rave VIP Party
Experience HighBall Halloween up-close and personal. Presented by White Castle, the HighBall Halloween Crave Rave VIP Party features up-close views of the HighBall Halloween Schweppe's Main Stage and runway, unlimited eats provided by White Castle, private cash bars with a special selection of beverages for VIPs only, and indoor restrooms.

Experience karaoke at the HighBall Halloween Sierra Mist Second Stage, larger than life street performances, art installations, and so much more!

Proceeds from HighBall Halloween go to support the Short North Alliance (SNA), a 501(c)3 non­profit organization serving both the property owners and business owners of the Short North Arts District.

HighBall Halloween helps to underwrite the programs and activities of the Short North Alliance, including: clean and safe initiatives, promotions, holiday campaigns, public art installations, and parking management.

Additionally, numerous groups receive stipends to further their good works in return for their support of HighBall Halloween.
