Last week we raised awareness of Parkinson's through social media for #ParkinsonsAwarenessWeek. Four of our wonderful Parkinson's Programme participants filmed very honest interviews with our CEO, Mel. They spoke about how they came to be diagnosed with the condition, and the impact it has had on their lives. Be sure to visit our YouTube channel to watch these interviews and learn more about the condition, and how participants find Conductive Education as a therapy for it.
Thank you to Liz, Sue, Paul and Jane for offering this personal insight into life with Parkinson's.
We had our much loved Bingo Night and a new virtual event, Jury Duty take place this month. Both events were lots of fun, and our event attendees even managed to reach the correct verdict on the remote trial! Thank you to everyone who joined us, we really appreciate your support in attending our events as they are a vital source of income for our services.
We are delighted to have been selected as one of the charities on the Becketts Farm Tokens Scheme for this quarter. This is a wonderful initiative as part of Becketts Community Fund. Heading over that way? Please be sure to drop a token in our box to help us be in the running for a lovely donation to our charity.
We love the PositiviTree! An amazing creation by conductors in Pre-School, recognising the positive impact Conductive Education has for families in the service. Keep scrolling to see close-ups of beautiful flowers with positive messages.
Your chance to run the London Marathon!
This year's NICE place in the London Marathon is more important than ever before. The runner's sponsorship will pay for vital therapy needed for three children in Red Boots School. Conductive Education plays an integral part in their everyday learning and development.
All sponsorship money raised would cover the additional funds needed to give Eryk, Isaac and Orlaith the support they need in school.
There will be draw for our NICE place in the London Marathon.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the NICE Easter Raffle. All of your support helped to raise £82.50 for the charity which is fantastic! Enormous thanks must go to our incredible volunteer and consultant at The Body Shop, Menna, who so kindly donated a hamper of goodies. Not forgetting our friends at Chase Distillery, who gifted us with a virtual tour of their distillery and an interactive tasting experience.
Would you like to tell us what Conductive Education means to you? Here's your chance! Our blog is full of incredible stories and thoughts from lots of people who are connected to NICE.
You could be a supporter with a tale to tell about your fundraising, you could be a volunteer, perhaps you or someone you know comes to NICE for Conductive Education sessions.
The blog is a welcoming and open place for YOU to express yourself!
