Welcome to the last NICE news of this academic year.
At the end of this school year we are celebrating another fantastic year at NICE for our services. We would like to thank all of our families and supporters for the extremely generous and kind support we have received that has helped us get through another testing year, and enabled us to continue doing what we do best, providing Conductive Education!
We are very sorry to be saying goodbye to a good friend and colleague, our Headteacher Beatrix Szeszak.
Bea first started at NICE after moving to Birmingham from Hungary the home of Conductive Education. She has been at NICE for an amazing total of 29 years! Over these many years she has supported, mentored and made a massive difference to the lives of hundreds of children's and families at NICE.

Bea, we cannot thank you enough for all that you have given to NICE over your 29 years of service to Conductive Education. We wish you all the best for the future, and look forward to hearing all about your new adventure!
At the end of June, we asked all our supporters to nominate NICE for a £5,000 grant towards our electrical services from NLT Electrical Ltd. We are very excited to announce that we won this grant and will be working with NLT to repair and upgrade some of our electrical services around our site up to the value of £5,000! Thank you to everyone who nominated us, NLT were inundated with NICE nominations. We are looking forward to working in partnership with them.
We have face-to-face and remote places available for Parkinson’s, Stroke and MS services in September. If you know someone with one of the above conditions who could use some support with managing their condition, please direct them to this link to apply for a consultation

We were very excited to host our first in-person event since March 2020 on the 30th June with the return of our much loved annual Golf Day hosted at Edgbaston Golf Club. Our golfers enjoyed an appearance from our special comical guest Jasper Carrott who spoke at the award giving ceremony, the day raised a fantastic £6,525.67 for NICE!

Then 3 days later we hosted The NICE big picnic and summer fayre on site at NICE, this raised a brilliant £862!

Thank you to all of our supporters who attended these events, and helped to raise these much needed funds for our services.

We don't have any events running over the summer, we do however have our treasure hunt packs on offer this year as a family day out.
Each treasure hunt has a children’s and adults' version on the same route.

Hunt 1: Stratford-upon-Avon - to be completed on foot

Hunt 2: Cotswolds - to be completed by car

Please get in touch with Hannah if you would like one or both of these treasure hunt packs - hcremin@conductive-education.org.uk. Packs are free, but if you would like to make a donation to NICE once you have completed them this would be very appreciated.

Do you enjoy selling at a car boot sale? If yes is the answer, why not collect some items from our attic shop this August and sell them on behalf of NICE. We haven't been able to open up our attic shop in Cannon Hill House this year with COVID, and generous donations of items to our charity shop have continued, so we would be really grateful if you would like to sell some of our items at a car boot this summer. If you are interested in this fundraising activity please email Hannah

Hear from one of our corporate supporters, Shab from Veolia in this month's blog!
Veolia have supported NICE for a number of years, find out how they support the charity and why they do it.

Support from the local business community is vital for NICE to be able to thrive in the next few years following the aftermath of the pandemic. If you know anyone who works for a local business looking to support a worthy cause we would be immensely grateful if you could put forward NICE or introduce us to your contact.

A level results day is coming up on the 10th August, do you know someone looking to do a degree who would make a great conductor?
Thanks for reading our NICE News, wishing you all a wonderful summer break!
