Welcome to February's NICE News! You'll be hearing all about how changes to events has shaped how we fundraise. You'll find out about the power of NICE legacies. And, you can share our farewell wishes for a special member of the NICE team.
What a turn of (virtual) events...
This month's blog post comes from Hannah, who shares how the move to virtual events has affected her as an industry professional. How are these massive changes to how events work impacting the charity?

Virtual events remain an important stream of income to help us keep delivering our services. Here's a taste of what's coming up soon:
A gift in your Will can create a brighter future for people with physical disabilities through the transformative system of Conductive Education. For a child it would be giving them the best start in life, and for an adult it could be giving them the vital therapy and support they need to improve their lives following such a devastating diagnosis. Together we can provide families with hope.

We're delighted to have partnered with Kwill as part of Free Wills Month. It's an online platform enabling you to write your Will for free.
We were over the moon to be awarded £1,000 as part of the Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme. This incredible donation will make a brilliant impact towards our services for adults.
How well do you know conductors at NICE? Do you know Gyorgyi? We're shining the spotlight on the amazing staff members who have been on the frontline at NICE.
Farewell to Lyn
We were very sad to say goodbye to Lyn, our Children's Administrator, earlier this month. We had a lovely farewell over Zoom and at NICE, the children shared some beautiful messages and songs. Lyn has been with us since May 2007, and has been the first port of call for hundreds of families, supporting them, and welcoming them to NICE. Lyn will be sorely missed by staff, parents and children alike, always there with a smile and a listening ear. Everyone is wishing Lyn a wonderful retirement and we would like to thank her again for everything she has done for us over the past 14 years.
Making a birthday fundraising pledge to NICE is an amazing way to support us. Simply setting up the fundraiser on your Facebook page raises lots of awareness about the charity and will raise much-needed funds, too! It would be incredible if we had a birthday pledge to NICE for each month of 2021. Could you host a birthday fundraiser? Get in touch with Hannah if you've got any questions.
Conductive Education Awareness Week is coming up next month! This is a key part of the year in which we recognise the unique system at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to make sure as many people know about Conductive Education as possible, to spread its amazing impact far and wide.

What does Conductive Education mean to you? Are you someone who doesn't know much, but wishes to learn more about it?
Get in touch with Annie to share your thoughts and ask questions. Let's all recognise, celebrate and learn about Conductive Education together.

Here are some wonderful memories of School Group going blue for Conductive Education Awareness Week in 2019:
Thank you as ever for reading about what's going on at NICE. Stay tuned for more updates spanning across the organisation. Until next time, stay safe and take care.
