Savor the Square
Next Thursday Sept 19th, Boston Cheese cellar will be at 'Savor the Square' a Celebration of Rozzie Food, a fundraiser for Roslindale Village Main Streets

This is a fun and party-like event, with Roslindale's best restaurants sharing samples of some of their delicious dishes - all accompanied by Jazz, fun and a raffle.

You are able to purchase packages of 'Taste Tickets', which you can exchange for one ticket, one 'taste'. Boston Cheese Cellar will be serving our legendary grilled cheese, as we look towards the Autumn and Winter (yes, it's coming!).

Both Diana and Adam from Boston Cheese Cellar will be serving the grilled cheese, and we would be thrilled to see both new and familiar faces, so grab some tickets and say hi!
Cheese 'n' Cider
What drink would you pair with your cheeses? Wine, might be the first thought, followed by beer, perhaps.

On the evening of Monday 16th Sept at The Haven in Jamaica Plain, join Boston Cheese Cellar as we pair some delicious cheeses with some hand-picked ciders from across the world.

Apple harvest season is on the horizon, and that means that the traditional season for cider production is also approaching. And traditionally, the cheeses made from the Spring and Summer milk will have finished aging, and be ready to eat. A perfect mix!

On Monday evening, not only will there will be cheese and cider, and guaranteed entertainment and banter, but you can also look forward to some Scotch Eggs and a dessert of Deep Fried Mars Bars (yes, this is traditional Scottish food).

So, grab a ticket, save the evening and Jason (owner of The Haven) and Adam (owner of Boston Cheese Cellar) will see you on Monday!
Join the Alpine Club!
This year, we are again thrilled to Adopt-an-Alp from Switzerland. From the beginning of October, Alp Steiners Hohberg, near the city of Fribourg, will be exclusively sending us their Alpkäse, Raclette, and their to-die-for Vacherin Fribourgeois. More info can be found here.

Over the past few years the Swiss Alps, have started to see drastic weather swings as a result of climate change. The farmers have sent us some videos of some unusual hail they had in the mountains.

There is still time to join our Alpine Club, which will reserve your freshly-arrived Alp cheese for the months of October, November and December, and includes delivery to your doorstep!

Not only will you get this special cheese, but, you will also receive a unique T shirt to celebrate the occasion, drawn by our resident artist, and cheesemonger, Amanda Willey.

Jump online to read more, and reserve your Adopted Alp's Cheese and T shirt!

And get ready for more celebrations and Swiss fun, as we have the return of Gabriella Martina, and her yodeling and stories, on Saturday November 2nd!
Novell de Cabra
Formatages Montbrú is a family run cheesemaker in the north west of Spain, in Catalonia. They have their own herds of goats (mostly Murciana breed), which all graze on the pastures on the El Moianès Plateau, and high region in the centre of Catalonia. This elevation helps to keep the weather cool and gentle, relative to the surrounding regions. A perfect environment for making and aging cheese!

Novell de Cabra is a young cheese from the pasteurized milk of Montbrú's Murciana goats. Underneath the soft and gentle rind, the internal paste is bright white and yieldin, with scattered holes.

It tastes light and bright and clean, and has an slight aroma of mushrooms, and is absolutely lovely to slice and let it dissolve away in your mouth.

If you're a fan of Drunken Goat or Sarro de Cabra, then this is one for you!
