Treasure Quote
   Jesus Calling, Enjoying Peace in
   His Presence by Sarah Young
Linger in My presence a while.
Rein in your impulses to plunge
into the day’s activities. Beginning your day alone with Me is essential preparation for success. A great athlete takes time to prepare himself mentally for the feat ahead of him before he moves a muscle. Similarly, your time of being still in My presence equips you for the day ahead of you. Only I know what will happen to you this day. I have arranged the events you will encounter as you go along your way. If you are not adequately equipped for the journey, you will grow weary and lose heart. Relax with Me while I ready you for action.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do
– Ephesians 2:10
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart
 – Hebrews 12:3

Pastor Appreciation. This Sabbath we will presenting Pastor Kitney and his family with the signed cards and donations we have been collecting. If you haven’t had a chance to sign the card or make a donation, it will be available up until our Divine Worship Service just outside the church office. Shhh! It’s a surprise!

International Sabbath. Please bring your flags for both the Sabbath morning service and festivities in the evening. You're welcome to wear your cultural dress to both events. Come and share your heritage and food with us! Questions? Contact the Home and School Leader, Ann M. Dyer (512) 994-8427 or SCA's principal Chinyere (Cici) Ukegbu (512) 763-2776

We will be celebrating the Ordinance of Humility & Communion Service on Sabbath,
November 7.  All are encouraged to begin preparing your hearts and minds for this sacred ceremony.

Baby shower for Veronica and Dustin Thums, Sabbath, November 7 after church.
If you could invite a “+1” (not from Stonehill) to accompany you to a church “event”, do you know who you would ask? Would it be a friend, colleague, classmate or neighbor? Start praying about your possible  “+1” - Big things coming - Stay tuned.

Our Church Workday was very
successful. We did some cleaning and
finished up some projects around the
church. A special thank you to those
of you who came and helped: Ken
Krivoshein, Pastor Kitney, Beth Sinha, Peter, Sharlene, Sarah & Zach Andryshak, Lester Wan, Simeon Rotich, Isaac Sitienei, Jason & Amber Lovett, Eldon Jensen, Carlton Hackett, Daniel & Priscilla Okrah, Chris Huggins. We did accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. These are the tasks we were unable to complete:
   Remove rocks from entrances
   Wash windows
Wipe down the inside of 2 refrigerators
   Clean ovens (convection and regular)
Mount projector screen in board room
   Mount lights upstairs
   Vacuum stairs leading to A/V
   Change door handles on bathrooms
Painting the men’s restroom. Paint will be provided.
Move the Pathfinder trailer out of the dirt
If you would like to take on one of these existing projects, or if you are interested in purchasing the landscape rocks we are removing from the entrances please contact the church office.

Next Week

Sunday – Guys Table Tennis
We meet this coming Sunday!  We continue our season theme of exploring questions that you all would like finding answers for. This week, Christopher will to lead out in the session discussing “What are gyroscopes? How do they work?” while showing connections on how this can help in our understanding of God and how He works with us.
We will also plan on using two tennis robots, so everyone will be able more practice time!
Remember to invite your friends, and to keep practicing!
PS: The gate code for getting in to the storage lot is 491#7664*
Keep practicing. Check out this website for some really good tutorials -

Here are the details of what we are about:
  1. Purpose: To share lessons that will help with the Christian moral and spiritual development of young men in our church family and together learn to play table tennis proficiently, while having loads of fun.
  2. Date: 1st Sunday of every month
  3. Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  4. Location -
  5. Meeting format:
    1. Half hour spiritual focus
    2. Remainder of time is for Table Tennis
Parents each young man will need the following:
  1. Liquid to keep hydrated (there are water fountains at the facility)
  2. A good breakfast (but not too much) since playing table tennis  can cause you to consume lots of energy
  3. A set of table tennis pads. Parents I suggest each young man do chores to earn or pay for the pads they use. We will celebrate with each guy as they declare they have completed paying for their pads.
  4. We will recognize and reward the boys who make the meeting on time and consistently.
  5. Parents:
    1. I highly recommend this book - It was really helpful to me in guiding my son in considering what values would truly make him a man.
    2. The cost of renting the Austin TT facility is $100. This provides us with 5 tables that we can use. If your family can contribute to help with this cost it will be appreciated. If not, please do not let this be a barrier in any way to you and your child/children participating.
Tuesday – Prayer Group. Lucy Clifford is beginning a weekly session devoted to praying for our school, the parents, teachers, and students. It will meet at the school at 8:15 am each Tuesday.
Friday – Pathfinder’s Exodus Bible Experience 6-9 pm.
Friday – Communion Rehearsal will be
Friday, November 6, at 7pm.
