Developing Loving Relationships with
hrist and Our Community.

Hello Stonehill Church Family,

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!

Food for thought...
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

We have a new Administrative Assistant at Stonehill. I have had the privilege of working with Teresa these past two weeks and count her as one of my friends. I feel very comfortable and confident leaving you in her very capable hands. Teresa Serl comes to us from Elgin where she has lived most of her life. She went through the Adventist education system, attending, Jefferson Academy and Southwestern University. Teresa has worked in the insurance industry during most of her working career. She has had the opportunity to go on a couple of mission trips and has attended Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism. Teresa says, “she enjoys reading, cooking/baking, crocheting, and sewing besides a few other I haven’t discovered yet.” Teresa along with her brother and sister will be celebrating their parents 50th Wedding Anniversary this year. As busy as she is, she still makes time for nephews and niece.
I’m sure you will enjoy working with her as much as I have.

Worship Service
Praise in Giving: Our Local Church Budget.
How can someone be rich toward God? In Luke 12, Jesus warned against greed. One’s life should not consist of accumulating possessions. Next he urged listeners to seek the kingdom of God, centering their lives on God’s eternal kingdom. The promise is that God will provide for the physical needs of those who give priority to God’s kingdom. The third piece of advice is one of response. The disciple who trusts God will be a good, watchful steward. In fact, the owner might come at any time and will hold the steward accountable. “For everyone to whom much is given…much will be required.” (Luke12:48)
How can someone be rich toward God? What has God given you? Has God given you property, speech, strength, or influence? “According to the talents bestowed will be the returned called for” (Stewardship, 116). Being rich toward God is about where your treasure is. Your heart follows your treasure. Where is your heart today? May the Lord help you to be rich toward God as you support the local ministry with your offerings today.
