Hello Stonehill Church Family,

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!

Treasure Quotes
He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth.
Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.  Isaiah 40:11; 42:16; 40:26, 28-31

We want to thank everyone that came out last Saturday night and supported the school and enjoyed the fun, food, fellowship, and dessert!   If you couldn't make it, you can still support the effort by marking your title envelope "SCA Expansion."  It must have expand, growth, or build next to SCA in order to get directed to this effort.

Stay tuned for information on our Pflugerville Chipotle fundraiser on December 9, 5:30-9:00.  Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend!

Stonehill Nature Adventure Day: Join us November 18, at 3:30 p.m. at the Sweet Eats Fruit Farm in Georgetown. We will tour the farm, pet the animals, skip stones in the river (oh, yeah!), and try the hay maze. We’ll end the Sabbath with a vespers program by the Pathfinders. You can pay the entry cost after Sabbath — it’s $7 / person. To find the location, enter “Sweet Eats Fruit Farm” in your GPS (entering the address might stop you about 5 miles too short). Not sure we’ll need them, but bring a chair and flashlight. Questions? Email

Those interested in receiving the church discounted price on the yearly devotions can bring their order and payment to Teresa in the church office. All orders and payment must be received by November 25 to be included in the order. Please be sure to include the sales tax and postage with your order payment. Contact or 512.537.1844 with any questions.

A Graveyard Walk
As a teenager, Surayo [SU-rayo] had worshipped with Seventh-day Adventists for two years at the invitation of a neighbor in Tajikistan. But when she was 18 she stopped attending. Surayo pursued a career in nursing and got married. But marriage did not bring happiness. Her husband gambled and used drugs, and he often beat her. One day, Surayo found a Bible that an Adventist had given her years before. She read Isaiah5:4. “What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes?” She felt she was the vineyard prepared by God, but she had failed Him in forgetting about Him. She prayed that God would show her what to do. If she was to stay with her husband, for him to stop beating her and that they could worship together. If she was to leave, provide a peaceful way to do it.
She told her husband that she loved Jesus and wanted her husband to know and love Jesus too. Her husband insisted that she must love Mohammed, not Jesus. A few days later, her husband, high on drugs, lost a sizeable sum of money in a betting game. He decided he would rather go to jail then face the shame of not being able to pay his debt. He decided, while still on drugs, that his ticket to jail was to kill Surayo. He invited her to go for a late-night walk with him. The moon was so pretty she did not notice where they were walking until she noticed they were in a cemetery and she felt something sharp and cold on her neck – a knife! She grabbed his arm and the couple struggled and several of Surayo’s fingers were cut to the bone.
“Jesus, save me!” she cried out. “Stop him!” Then she lost consciousness. She awoke in her own bed a few hours later. Her husband told her that he had brought her home. They decided to part ways. Surayo had promised to follow God if He helped her get a peaceful divorce, but she forgot her promise. Several weeks later she remembered and prayed “If you want me to follow You, tell me which denomination to join. Which church is the real one, the one where You are?” One Saturday morning, after a long night at work, Surayo got on the wrong bus. She didn’t realize her mistake until the last stop. But right in front of her was an Adventist building and Surayo realized that getting on the wrong bus was no accident. God had brought her here. It was Sabbath morning and worship services were just starting. Surayo went inside and realized that this was exactly where God wanted her. She has never left.
