Developing Loving Relationships with
hrist and Our Community.

Hello Stonehill Church Family,

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!

Treasure Quotes/Thoughts
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8

Have an extra computer around the house? There is a family in our church with young kids in High-school and Junior high, who are struggling in school due to not having a computer at home. Many assignments these days are using Goggle docs for students to save and send in school papers and projects so it is essential for the students to have a computer. If there is anyone who would like to donate towards purchasing a computer for these struggling students or if anyone has an extra computer (it must have internet capabilities) they would like to donate for these students, please contact Teresa, 512.537.1844 or

Praise in Giving: Local Church Budget
Roaches. Vera Hoffer was told she would “never make a missionary” when she was unable to stay in an apartment because she found the sink full of roaches the first morning there. Fortunately, this was a mistaken statement. Not many years later, the Hoffers went to South America as missionaries. Satan has many yucky “roaches” that sneak their way into our lives and cause trouble. Some of these “roaches” try to convince us that tithing is not all that important, or that we should use our tithe in other ways or give it to other entities. How blessed we are, though, when we faithfully follow God’s directives to bring our tithes and offerings into His storehouse, for His remnant church. Your offering today goes toward our local church budget, which allows for us to be a strong presence in our community.

Praise in Music:

Mission Ministry

Flying for God
Dwayne loved airplanes as a boy and wanted to become a mission pilot. He enrolled in flight school at Walla Walla College but left after a year. He returned to Montana and obtained an aircraft mechanics license and finished getting his pilot’s license. Then he joined the Army National Guard, who sent him to flight school for helicopters. But he was lukewarm in his Christian experience. One day, he was put in touch with a mission pilot who was visiting the U.S.. Dwayne flew his plane to Kentucky to visit with the pilot, who wanted to discuss his ideas for a helicopter ministry in the Philippines. The night before the meeting, his sister called to say their parents house had burned down. Dwayne was living there so he lost everything.
The next day, Dwayne promised that is he could get free from his contract with the Guard, he would be willing to start something in the Philippines. Losing all his earthly possessions made him start thinking about priorities and he started reading the Bible and praying daily. He was soon convinced he needed to stop compromising the Sabbath and that he would not fly in Sabbath during this monthly 3 day drill. He spoke with his company commander to be able to make up for Saturday on another day. The commander refused. So for several months, Dwayne only come in on Friday and Sunday. Up till then, Dwayne had a flawless military record. Finally, the Guard gave him an honorable discharge. Dwayne immediately organized a trip to the Philippians to assess the situation there and everything fell into place. Today Dwayne and his wife are directors of Philippine Adventist Medical Aviation Services (PAMAS).
