Hello Stonehill Church Family,
We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!
A scene from Schindler’s List:
Oskar Schindler: I could have got more out. I could have got more. I don't know. If I'd just... I could have got more.
Itzhak Stern: Oskar, there are eleven hundred people who are alive because of you. Look at them.
Oskar Schindler: If I'd made more money... I threw away so much money. You have no idea. If I'd just...
Itzhak Stern: There will be generations because of what you did.
Oskar Schindler: I didn't do enough!
Itzhak Stern: You did so much.
[Schindler looks at his car]
Oskar Schindler: This car. Goeth would have bought this car. Why did I keep the car? Ten people right there. Ten people. Ten more people.
[removing Nazi pin from lapel]
Oskar Schindler: This pin. Two people. This is gold. Two more people. He would have given me two for it, at least one. One more person. A person, Stern. For this.
Oskar Schindler: I could have gotten one more person... and I didn't! And I... I didn't!
Are we as diligent in seeking to save souls for Christ’s kingdom? Will this be our lament? We could have saved one more person for Christ but we didn’t because we selfishly, or without thinking, held on to things or our time? When Christ comes, will we look back and have regrets about what we have held on to or the time that we wasted that prevented one more soul from being saved for Christ’s kingdom? As we come to the end of 2017 and look forward to 2018, let us fully surrender, not only our lives, but all of our time and possessions to Christ to be used for and by Him!
If you are able to help with putting together the children’s bags for church, please contact Eldon Jensen or myself (Teresa@Stonehillchurch.org). The help will be much appreciated.
The Play "Coming Up Short" is a Christian Musical Dramedy that's going live this Valentine's Day at the George Washington Carver Museum. It is my first theatrical project in nearly 20 years. I really appreciate your support in both attending and spreading the word. Tickets are sold on Eventbrite, or in person from me (April Phillips) to avoid the surcharge. Please spread the word and help me fill up these 300 seats. We are also available for private performances after the 14th. Group Sales of 10 or more are 10% off. Thanks for Your Support! April Phillips
Hearing Assist equipment is available: A limited number of personal audio devices are available during church service. Bring your own preferred earphones if you'd like. Please let one of the deacons or AV personnel know if you have need for hearing assist equipment.
