Hello Stonehill Church Family,
We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!
What are your New Year's resolutions for 2018?
Children's Activity Bags: If you are able to help with putting together the children’s bags for church, please contact Eldon Jensen or myself (Teresa@Stonehillchurch.org). The help will be much appreciated.
The Junior class is in need of leaders/teachers to help teach during Sabbath School. This would be a rotating teacher/leader position. Once or twice a month teaching availability would be most helpful. Please contact Esther Rotich @ (615) 525-7674 or Beth Sinha @ (540) 588-829. Thank you in advance!

Church Without Walls
Raquel’s church group used to meet once a month in a park in Mayaguez, a city on Puerto Rico’s west coast that is home to Antillean Adventist University. They met to pray, read the Bible and eat a light breakfast. But a city-organized event forced them to relocate to the city square one Sabbath in 2012. As they ate, one church member noticed several homeless people in the square and invited them to join the meal. From that day on, that member decided to return and feed the homeless by himself every Sabbath. The man, a small business owner in his fifties, took hot cereal, sandwiches, fresh fruit, and juice to the central square every Sabbath for several months. Then he told Raquel he not only wanted to give them food but he wanted them to hear about God also. He asked Raquel to accompany him and read the Bible to those attending.
Raquel attended regularly after that. They call it the Church Without Walls and meet every week to hear the Word of God and eat breakfast. The pastor gives a 20 minutes talk and has led the group through the Discover Bible studies. At Easter, the volunteers organized a fist communion service on the city square. Communion dishes and tables were brought from the church, and the pastor explained the ritual. Many people wept as they washed each other’s feet. “To them, washing their feet was like God washing away their sins,” Raquel said. “It was the first time that they had had that experience. It was beautiful.”
Among the program’s volunteers are student from Antillean Adventist University, which will receive part of this quarter’s Thirteenth Sabbath Offering. The funds will help open a center of influence and evangelism center at the university. Thank you for giving to the mission offering.
