Acts 20:35 ... remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive. Everyone gives something somewhere. But there is a difference between random acts of giving and true generosity. Andy Stanley defines generosity and shares how to be generous. Follow the link to determine how to be generous when it is not natural. Pastor Stanley encourages all to live a life of generosity to generate happy lives throughout this 3 part series to be crazy like us.

Thirteenth Sabbath Program
“Where did you learn that?” Joshua asked his friend Gift when he finished telling him the amazing story of Joseph and his brothers. “It’s in the Bible,” Gift replied with a grin. “And if you’d come with me to our Adventist Youth Ministry (AYM) programs, you could learn these stories too. We’re having Vacation Bible School (VBS) in a few days. Why don’t you come?” Joshua had been playing football with some of the AYM kids at their Sunday exercise program, and he really liked them. They started each game with prayer and a short devotion, and they were kind to each other on the field.
Joshua attended the VBS program where he heard a lot of stories from the Bible, learned songs about God, did crafts and made friends. Best of all, he learned that Jesus loved him. At the end of VBS, he decided he wanted to become a Seventh-day Adventist. He was baptized a year ago, and now wants to share his faith just as Gift had shared his faith with Joshua. Joshua invited his friend Favour to VBS this year. Favour didn’t know much about Jesus before VBS but now knows that Jesus loves him and cares for him.
Most of Joshua’s friends criticize him because he became a Seventh-day Adventist and do not allow him to talk to them about Jesus. So he tries to share Jesus through character and actions, like being cheerful. Some of his friends that he’s shared Jesus with are thinking about coming to church and that makes Joshua glad. Joining AYM has made a positive difference in Joshua’s character. He wants to help people in the community and share the love of Jesus with them. The thirteenth Sabbath School offering this quarter will help to build a multipurpose center at Babcock University for the AYM members. Having the center will help the youth grow spiritually and develop their skills for reaching people for Jesus. Thank you for your financial support this quarter.
