Hello Stonehill Church Family,
We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!
Due to being rained out last week, there will be golfing with Eldon again this Sunday March 12.
We are collecting New or Gently Used Handbags from March 1st - 31st. The collected bags will have the Domestic Abuse Hotline Number DISCREETLY stitched inside the bag and children in Shelters Across Texas will select a bag to give to their Mom on Mother's Day. You can drop them off at our martial arts school located at: 2700 Pecan St West, Pflugerville (3 Points Plaza) 512-522-3912 ext. 703 or make arrangements for another drop off location. Thank you for helping to support this awesome cause.
Stonehill Christian Academy Home & School is conducting a survey over the next 2 weeks to collect feedback from church members about the school. Everyone is invited to take this survey once/person, but we are especially looking for feedback from parents of school-aged children. Please help us collect good information to use by completing this survey. No names are required and the answers will be kept confidential. We appreciate your help and your honest feedback. https://goo.gl/forms/fRkv8VdPnOrvz9Xj1

Women Bible Study: God has always sought a woman with these characteristics- a heart to change the world, passion to make a difference and a purpose for life, no matter how great or small. If this is your desire and are seeking a closer walk with God this year, please join our Women Bible Study every 1st and 3rd Sabbath @ 2pm after fellowship dinner at the church. Come and join us and explore the challenges these women in the Bible faced in their times hoping it will help us all as we face our own journeys. Contact Rhona Ballarta at 512-990-8251 if interested.

They Need God
Growing up in Yugoslavia, Maja (pronounced MY-ya) had never heard of God. Then one day she heard her grandmother and great-grandmother talking about Jesus. “He was just a good man,” said Maja’s grandmother. “No,” replied the great-grandmother. “Jesus was God.” The discussion became very important to young Maja, as she listened intently. Later, she decided that great-grandmother was right – Jesus was God.
Six years later Maja turned to the one church she had heard of, the Roman Catholic Church, to learn more. After studying, she was baptized into the Catholic faith. Not long after that, she became acquainted with Seventh-day Adventists through some of her classmates who were Adventists. Her parents learned of the nearby Adventist school and enrolled Maja. She noticed that things were done differently there. In the Catholic Church, Maja did not read the Bible much but at the Adventist school, someone gave her a Bible and she started reading it. She learned more about the Sabbath and started studying in earnest to learn more about the Adventist beliefs. After a while, Maja decided she wanted to become a Seventh-day Adventist. The village Adventist school is very dear to Maja’s heart – here she found Christ. It is also where she met her husband.
Maja went on to study at a university in the city and became a primary school teacher and instructor in the Croatian language. She was invited to stay at the school but decided to accept the call and return to the village Adventist school where she had attended, but more importantly where she had met Christ. That was 12 years ago and Maja has been serving at the school ever since. The school provides a well-rounded education but to Maja the most important is that the students meet Christ. “The school is the biggest mission project in our Union,” says Maja. “We need a lot of prayer.”
