Weekly Service
While we are currently working getting our back-to-church plan into action, we are not yet ready to begin physical services at the church. The church will be closed this weekend. There will be a live stream of the church service starting just after 11:00 am.
The church will reopen for services only soon. Keep a watchful eye for updates!

Back-to-Church Preparation!
A special thank you to those helping prepare the church for our return.
  • Shawn & Judith Iram have been working hard, moving chairs in order to prepare the sanctuary for post-quarantine services!
  • Ellen, Jacqui, Kathy, and others have helped to clean and prepare the kitchen for our eventual return to potlucks
  • We purchased hospital-grade sanitizer in preparation for cleaning the church before and after services!
These along with other preparation activities are going on behind the scenes so that we can all join in fellowship again soon! Watch for further updates on our back-to-church plan, so you can be ready!

Need Help? The Church has Resources!
The church can help connect you with someone who can help! If you are in need of groceries or essentials, there are people willing to help you out. Please contact the church office to be connected with someone who can help.
Additionally, if you are feeling generous and are able to help by donating food or other essentials, please contact the church office to be placed on a list of benefactors for contact! Thanks!

Zoom Sabbath School Notice
When you join the sabbath school meeting on zoom via the link or with the meeting ID and password, you will first go into a waiting room at which point you will be assigned to a sabbath school classroom.
To help the meeting host assign you properly, please use your first and last name or activate your mic and tell the host which class you'd like to be assigned.
Unfortunately, some users enter the meeting with usernames like "Iphone" or "Samsung Galaxy S7" or even usernames they've created like "Blueman." Unfortunately, the host will not be able to assign such users to a classroom without identifying them. Please help the host by identifying yourself and the class to which you would like to be assigned. Thanks! :)

Please Continue to Give

Thank you for your Support!
To those who continue to give to the church during this difficult time, thank you!

Back-To-Church Plan
Since the State of Texas has issued a declaration to reopen places of worship, Texas Conference churches may proceed with Phase 1 following its local county size recommendations for gatherings.
  • Vulnerable members are encouraged to remain home to enjoy worship online.
  • Churches will open for Sabbath morning worship service ONLY. No other services, including Sabbath school, should be held at this time.
  • Deep cleaning and sanitizing should take place before and after the service. Take photos of cleaning the church lobby, sanctuary and bathrooms and post on social channels with the hashtag #welcomehome to assure members and guests proper steps are being taken for their health and safety. Create cleaning and sanitizing teams (one for each Sabbath of the month or multiple teams for specific areas) to maintain the health and safety of the congregation and not exhaust members with the extra work required to ensure a safe and healthy environment for worshipers.
  • Practicing social distancing requirements (maintaining a six (6) foot distance from each other) will remain in place in and around church facilities.
  • No potlucks or large gatherings for a minimum of eight weeks, more if Covid-19 continues to rise in the community.
  • Create worship services with smaller groups and exercise social distancing while following local county recommendations for gatherings. The church can have two to four different services on Sabbath to accommodate the entire congregation thus limiting the size of the groups provided the church is able to clean and sanitize the areas before and after each service.
  • Provide socially distant, limited visitation by select members to those that maintain the “stay-at-home” order.
  • Consider having a special service for the elderly.
  • Maintain online services for those that remain home and others who have started following your services online.

Choir Practice is suspended until the Texas Conference moves to a lower stage in the Contingency Plan.
