Thank you to everyone who helped with the Thanksgiving Brunch! What a special blessing it was to share Thanksgiving with our church family. A special thank you to those of you who came out to help set up on Friday afternoon: Eldon & Ellen Jensen, Jason & Madelyn Lovett, Cindy Hoyler, Ruth Green, Pastor and Lauren Kitney, Carlton Hackett, Joline & Eric Whichelow, Beth & Andrew Sinha, Pat Dupper and Brent & Meri Holm. Thank you to those of you who helped in the kitchen preparing the food and to those of you who helped put the church back together.
Thanksgiving Brunch Sabbath Service. Please let us know your opinion by taking the following survey: Thank you.

Did you know Jesus was 33 at the close of his ministry? There just seems to be something special about 33. In fact, we just had two church members each donate $3300. So we started thinking, what if our church did a 33 challenge? During the next 33 days we encourage everyone to give a donation of 33. $.33, $33, $3300 or $33,000. Jesus ministry depends on you!
Special Christmas Worship Service December 19. Sign up beginning this Sabbath to do the reading and special music.

Worship Service
Praise in Singing: The Wans
Praise in Giving: Local Church Budget. What are the needs in our congregation? Does the building need some attention? How about the various programs in our church— do they need your support?
An Adventist minister Mel Rees wrote, “Those who plan their giving do not wait for things to give to—they look for them!” (Ministry, December 1969). I invite you to look around our church and look for things to give to. Where does the church need your talents, time, and abilities? Where does your congregation need your prayers? Do your church leaders need to hear your words of appreciation?
Where does your church need your financial support? Look for opportunities to give to your church and strengthen its programs. When you give, your church will be blessed and you will experience the joy of partnering with God.
Let us return a faithful tithe and experience the joy of giving for our local congregation.

Spirit Week

October 12-16 was Spirit Week at SCA. Students and teachers showed their spirit by dressing in their PJs on Monday, Nerds on Tuesday, animals on Wednesday, Twins and triplets on Thursday, and in their favorite sports jersey on Friday. Here are some cute pictures from that week. You can see more pictures on the SCA Facebook page.

SCA Community Outreach Food Drive:
This year the students in grades K-8 participated in a food drive benefiting te Pflugerville Food Pantry. Trader Joe's donated over 600 bags that the students passed out in the neighborhoods near the school. They were left with a note identifying SCA, explaining the effort, and a date that they would return to pick up bags of donated   items.
It rained one of their scheduled bag drop days, so the students were invited to tour the Pflugerville food pantry to learn about what they do and how they help their community. The students are still picking up donated food for the pantry.

International Festival

Stonehill Christian Academy held its 3rd annual International festival on Saturday night October 31st.  The night started with a short message given by Elder Victor Obando followed by a prayer blessing the food given by Pastor Kitney.
There was food offered from many countries around the world; Ethiopia, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Italy, Germany, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Columbia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Belize, Jamaica, United States,
and of course Texas! There were many to go boxes loading up on the delectable delicacies from around the world to enjoy later.
Two new features were added this year; a photo booth and a face painting booth for the kids. There was a lot of fashion represented from around the world as well as a great lineup of international entertainment. The night was a success and raised over $2000 for the school! We would like to thank those of you that came for your overwhelming support of SCA. A special thanks to Limari Maldonado and Lorna Camacho for helping to put the night together as well as to everyone that sponsored a booth!  Don't miss this exciting event next year!
