Treasure Text:

Psalms 105: 4

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

This Sabbath:

House Warming/Welcome Gift: We are accepting donations again this Sabbath, to present to Pastor Kitney and his family. There will be cards available at the greeter’s desk to sign and an envelope to leave your gift.

Remember our Food Donation Box: Our church is helping the area food banks fill their shelves. We are asking that everyone bring at least one non-perishable item to church this week, for our donation box. God will bless you for your generosity and those who receive it.

No Fellowship Lunch this week: An opportunity to invite friends and visitors home.

Sunday:
Guys Table Tennis Group

  1. Purpose: To share lessons that will help with the Christian moral and spiritual development of young men in our church family and learn to play table tennis proficiently, while having loads of fun.
  2. Date: 1st Sunday of every month
  3. Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  4. Location - http://www.austintabletennis.com/
  5. Address and direction: here
  6. Meeting format:
    1. Half hour spiritual focus
    2. Remainder of time is for Table Tennis
Parents each young man will need the following:
  1. Liquid to keep hydrated (there are water fountains at the facility)
  2. A good breakfast (but not too much) since playing table tennis can cause you to consume lots of energy
  3. A set of table tennis pads. Parents I suggest each young man do chores to earn or pay for the pads they use. We will celebrate with each guy as they declare they have completed paying for their pads.
  4. We will recognize and reward the boys who make the meeting on time and consistently.
  5. Parents:
    1. I highly recommend this book - http://www.amazon.com/Raising-Modern-Day-Knight-Fathers-Authentic/dp/1589973097. It was really helpful to me in guiding my son in considering what values would truly make him a man.
    2. The cost of renting the Austin TT facility is $100. This provides us with 5 tables that we can use. If your family can contribute to help with this cost it will be appreciated. If not, please do not let this be a barrier in any way to you and your child/children participating.

The gate code for getting in to the storage lot is 491#7664*
Keep practicing. Check out this website for some really good tutorials - http://www.videojug.com/tag/table-tennis

Finally, guys we want you to invite your friends. Please do so earnestly.

Wear:
Comfortable pants and light shirt, hat is advisable
Closed toe shoes or boots

Bring:
Bible
Water bottle (water provided)
Bug spray
Sun-tan lotion
*We will have extra spray and lotion on hand
Chairs (optional)

.Fellowship Lunch: The second and fourth Sabbath we will have our regular potluck. On the third Sabbath (the fifteenth) we have a guest musician and will have a special "lighter version" of our potluck.  If everyone joining us for lunch that Sabbath could bring either a salad or sandwiches, that would help take care of our guests as well as our church body and make preparing, serving and clean-up a breeze. :)

Fellowship Lunch Reminder: Please be sure to check the Fellowship Meal schedule. Also, the class/group assigned to potluck week is responsible for coordinating the receiving/placement of dishes and cleanup. They are not responsible for preparing all the dishes.
