Hello Stonehill Church Family,
We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Colossians 3:16-17
We need your help – again!!! This may sound like just a repeat of last week’s announcement, and in a way it is, because the septic pump was clogged up again this week due to wipes in the lift station pump the same as last week. Please, please, please, toilet paper and body waste are the only items that should be flushed. All other items are to go in the trash can since they can and will clog the pump and create major expense. We just had the pump replaced this spring and it is in danger of burning out again if we are not able to get a handle on the amount of wipes that are being flushed. Please do not flush wipes or we may be without the use of restrooms for a while.
Pie-O-Thon Pick Up!! Please pick up your orders from the choir Pie-O-Thon in the foyer today (this Sabbath). Didn't remember to buy a pie (or pecans)? We've got you! We'll have a limited number of assorted pies and pecans available for you to take home just in time for Thanksgiving. Donations of $10 per item are welcome. All proceeds benefit the Stonehill choir.
Please join the Stonehill Choir for their special Christmas cantata "Silence and the Sound". Admission is free! This year's performance will also feature the Stonehill SDA Church Children's Chorus. The Silence and the Sound is a Cantata for Christmas by Heather Sorenson. This is more than a re-telling of the nativity. This work explores both the mystery and the majesty of Christ's birth. Filled with original sacred songs and beloved carols, this innovative cantata is not only a beautiful concert moment, but it is a true worship experience. The richness of both contemporary and traditional elements, along with thoughtful narrations, make this work an excellent choice for blended worship styles, and the stunning orchestrations complete the experience.
