Developing Loving Relationships with
        C
hrist and Our Community.

Hello Stonehill Church Family,

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!

Treasure Quotes/Thoughts

We pray for blessings we pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

‘Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we’d have faith to believe

What if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
And what if trials of this life
Are Your mercies in disguise
~ Blessings by Laura Story

Worship Service

Praise in Giving: Texas Vision
Talents. Some people are very talented in the use of money. With dedication and discipline, they invest wisely and prosper. Then there are people like Jack Whittacker who won the Powerball lottery in 2002 for a cool $135 million but squandered away the full amount, or at least what what wasn’t robbed from him. Whatever our financial standing, God holds us accountable for the use of our money. A wise steward always puts God first in financial planning. And “first things first” means that the Lord’s part, the tithe, is the topmost item on the list of obligations. Did we say, obligations? No. It is rather a privilege and a joy to return a faithful tithe and give generous additional offerings. Let’s put the Lord to the test today and help support His work in our local conference.

Mission Ministry

Sabbath Fills Emptiness

Even as Soon-Ae worked for God, planting churches and ministering, she felt something was missing from her heart. She was full of joy when she preached or participated in revival meetings, but it was followed by a deep emptiness afterwards. To fill the void, she studied theology and became a pastor. But still the emptiness in her heart. After an Adventist literature evangelist visited their home, her husband began attending the Adventist church. When Soon-Ae found out, she asked her husband how he, as a minister, could go to that cult. He replied it was not a cult, they have the truth. After that, she secretly started to read the Adventist books her husband had lying around the house. Then they were invited to attend some health lectures. On the third night, a Chinese-Korean woman approached Soon-Ae and asked “Pastor, people say this church is a cult. What do you think?”

Soon-Ae wanted to answer that it was a cult but found herself instead saying “No, this is not a cult. This church has the truth, including the biblical Sabbath.” Soon-Ae did not know why she had said that. They lady started attending and was later baptized. It was Soon-Ae’s first convert to the Adventist Church even though Soon-Ae herself wasn’t a member! Wanting to find something that said this church was a cult, Soon-Ae started attending. But she couldn’t find anything. She was surprised to see that the Adventists follow the Bible closely. Soon-Ae and her husband were baptized and now her dream is for her seven siblings to accept the Sabbath. Nowadays, Soon-Ae no longer feels empty. What was missing from her life was the Sabbath truth. Her heart is filled with joy in Jesus!
