Developing Loving Relationships with
hrist and Our Community.

Hello Stonehill Church Family,

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!

Treasure Quotes/Thoughts

Family & Youth Night events: We will not have a Family & Youth Night this June due to end-of-school events. July’s event will be soccer on the first Sabbath of the month, July 7. More details to come.

Please remember to label your food items in the refridgerator and freezer here at church is they are for a certain person or event. Otherwise, they will be considered available to use for fellowship dinner.

Baby shower for Maddie and Stefen on July 8. Maddie is registered at Wal-Mart, Target and Amazon. The registry is under Maddie Russell.

Thank you to each one of you who have saved labels for our Labels for Missions project. We turned in over 500 labels last year. This year, however, we received new guidelines regarding what labels are accepted. Labels from canned foods (Worthington, Loma Linda and Caroline) are accepted but labels from frozen food of any brand are no longer accepted. All UPC codes from canned products must begin with 28989 or 45561. (Even though frozen foods may begin with these numbers, they are not accepted.) Watch the lobby for a “Labels for Missions” box of where to leave your labels.

STONEHILL TRANSFORMERS EXERCISE CLASS: Please come join us next class, June 10, 8:15—10:15 am, at Pflugerville Lake near the flags. Your continued support is appreciated. Key Word is PREVENTION.

Stonehill Christian Academy Summer Camp is canceled for this summer.

Please help us save our septic pump. Please, please, please do not flush baby or Clorox wipes (not even wipes labeled as flushable!), feminine products, etc. Please dispose of these items in the trash can. Toilet paper and body waste are the only items that should be flushed. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Stonehill Christian Academy Prayer Time is on hold through the summer. It is scheduled to resume with the new school year in the fall.

Praise in Giving: World Budget/Multilingual and Chaplaincy Ministries
What is prosperity? Consider the following verse of Scripture: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as they soul prospereth” (3 John 2, KJV). Different cultures write letters differently. Some jump right into the subject, others have flowery greetings first. Almost all the epistles begin with at least one verse of salutation, sometimes three or four. But what really is prosperity? We often think of it in monetary or material terms. Prosperity in the Christian sense would be a wonderful knowledge of well-being in the Lord, knowing that your sins are forgiven and you are secure in Christ, and that your future is in His hands. That is prosperity that money can’t buy!

Mission Ministry

I Walked Out
Ida, the youngest of seventh siblings, was raised by her strict Seventh-day Adventist grandmother. No short dresses, reading the Bible every Friday night, no work from sundown Friday to sundown Sabbath, Wednesday evening meeting and church on Sabbath – all requirements! When she was 14 she moved to New York to live with older siblings. She stopped attending church and after college, got a job with an insurance company on Wall Street and later worked as an auditor in Washington for the government. She started attending church on Sunday. Ida and her husband eventually built a home on land in West Virginia that she had inherited from her grandmother. Ida and her husband retired to this home.
Then Ida received a flyer in the mail with an invitation to a Bible prophecy seminar. None of her new friend wanted to go with her so she went alone. On the fourth night, the preacher spoke of the beasts of Daniel and Revelation and Ida for the first time realized she was attending an Adventist evangelistic series. She remembered her strict upbringing. None of her friends were with her and she felt so lonely. She started to leave the meetings but was met by Naomi, the Bible worker who had registered Ida at the beginning of the meetings. Naomi gave her friendship and that was what Ida needed to stay to the end of the meetings. After the meetings, Ida joined the church along with 15 others. Thank you for your offerings that made these meetings possible.
