Hello Stonehill Family,
We look forward to worshiping together this Sabbath!
You can keep up with all the latest at Stonehill
on our Facebook page:
or our webpage: http://StonehillChurch.org/
If you would like to have announcements listed in the bulletin or here in our weekly newsletter please email me at Meri@StonehillChurch.org. All requests have to be to me by Wednesday evening before Sabbath.
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on
every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in
thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only
supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many
expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
– 2 Corinthians 9:11-15

Stonehill is having their first
annual Thanksgiving Potluck Brunch this
Sabbath. There will be no Sabbath
School, however you are welcome to
come early and visit . Our brunch will
be held during the regular worship service
time, and we will celebrate the harvest
of blessings as a church family. Here is a chance
to invite a "+1",
As the seasons are changing, may we
count the many blessings we have: a warm
home to go to, dinner to comfort us, and a
church community to grow with in life.
Let's continue to reflect on these things
as we make preparations for Thanksgiving. It's easy to become busy with the list of tasks to be done, but let's strive to do all with a heart full of gratitude because of the love Christ has first shown us.
As a family-style potluck, on Sabbath we’d like your help with food setup, clean up and restoring the church. If you have any questions, please contact Michele (email@example.com), Desiree (firstname.lastname@example.org) or
Lucy (email@example.com). We look forward to this time we can partake in this very special Thanksgiving meal together as a church family!

Did you know Jesus was 33 at the close of his ministry? There just seems to be something special about 33. In fact, we just had two church members each donate $3300. So we started thinking, what if our church did a 33 challenge? During the next 33 days we encourage everyone to give a donation of 33. $.33, $33, $3300 or $33,000. Jesus ministry depends on you!

Come help us decorate the church for Christmas, while listening to Christmas music and eating Christmas cookies. You can even bring your favorite snack or leftovers from Thanksgiving to share. Good people, good food, good times, good cause. Contact Noemi Garcia to say, “I’m coming!” at (512) 990-9036 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The leaders of the Junior Sabbath School Class are looking for another teacher to help Marie and Beth lead out on Sabbath mornings. There is an amazing group of young people in this class that we as teachers have the opportunity to study, discuss and explore the Bible with. If you would like to be a part of this rewarding, growing & life giving group, please contact or talk with Beth Sinha @ (540) 588-8291 or email@example.com. Thank you so much for your time and attention in this matter.
Current host leaders of the Fellowship Lunches please meet with Desiree, Lucy and Angela after church December 5th to discuss the new schedule. Come with ideas on how to improve the fellowship experience. Just some ideas… how do we encourage everyone to participate and how we can share the fellowship lunch duties as a church.

Paul writes, “For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people” (2 Corinthians 8:3,4).
That is how Paul describes the giving of the church members in Macedonia. He tells us that the members there were in “extreme poverty,” yet they gave “beyond their ability”. Furthermore, Paul tells us that they gave with an attitude of joy. The church in Macedonia was a sacrificial congregation.
In our congregation, there are individuals who do not have much, yet they give beyond their ability. And they do it joyfully. Thank you for your faithfulness. It’s because of such faithfulness that we have a church. The funds received will be used for the ministries and operation of this congregation.

Newsletter Volume 3, November 2015
October 12-16 was Spirit Week at SCA. Students and teachers showed their spirit by dressing in their PJs on Monday, Nerds on Tuesday, animals on Wednesday, Twins and triplets on Thursday, and in their favorite sports jersey on Friday. Here are some cute pictures from that week. You can see more pictures on the SCA Facebook page.
SCA Community Outreach Food Drive:
This year the students in grades K-8 participated in a food drive benefiting te Pflugerville Food Pantry. Trader Joe's donated over 600 bags that the students passed out in the neighborhoods near the school. They were left with a note identifying SCA, explaining the effort, and a date that they would return to pick up bags of donated items.
It rained one of their scheduled bag drop days, so the students were invited to tour the Pflugerville food pantry to learn about what they do and how they help their community. The students are still picking up donated food for the pantry.
Stonehill Christian Academy held its 3rd annual International festival on Saturday night October 31st. The night started with a short message given by Elder Victor Obando followed by a prayer blessing the food given by Pastor Kitney.
There was food offered from many countries around the world; Ethiopia, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Italy, Germany, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Columbia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Belize, Jamaica, United States,
and of course Texas! There were many to go boxes loading up on the delectable delicacies from around the world to enjoy later.
Two new features were added this year; a photo booth and a face painting booth for the kids. There was a lot of fashion represented from around the world as well as a great lineup of international entertainment. The night was a success and raised over $2000 for the school! We would like to thank those of you that came for your overwhelming support of SCA. A special thanks to Limari Maldonado and Lorna Camacho for helping to put the night together as well as to everyone that sponsored a booth! Don't miss this exciting event next year!
