Hello Stonehill Church Family,
Pathfinders will be offering babysitting services beginning Saturday evening, April 28, 2018 to raise money for Oshkosh. This will be an ongoing fundraising event which will be done every 4th Saturday evening of the month. This will also give our Pathfinders an opportunity to earn the Child Care/Babysitting Honor. The hours - 6:30 to 9:30 pm so parents can have a date night. The cost per child - $20. We will provide a snack and games for the children in our care.
We look forward to worshiping with you this Sabbath!

“Enthusiasm for God’s work”. A pastor came to a church heavily in debt. How were they to get out of debt? An Adventist financial consultant was contacted. His plan? To spend money. The pastor had to sell the idea to the church that an expenditure of $40,000 would be needed in order to pay off the debt of nearly $800,000. He posed a question to the church board and later to the church in business session: “Would you spend $40 to make $800?” The church voted to go ahead, and with God’s blessing the debt was entirely paid off in five years. But that’s not the best part. During those five years, tithe and offerings for all the other funds were up as well! How do you explain it? Enthusiasm for God’s work!

Power of a Ninth Grader
Kamlitha [kam-LITHA] first heard about the Sabbath from her teenage son, Fredrick, whom she had sent to the Ebeye Seventh-day Adventist mission school. But Kamlitha was determined not to leave her Sunday church. Her son challenged her to study the Bible for herself. As Fredrick continued to share with her what he was learning in Bible class, Kamlitha was impressed with her son’s knowledge of the Bible but she resisted his appeals and turned down invitations to attend church. She did not object, however, when Fredrick announced he wanted to be baptized. Then a drought struck. Standing in line for water, Kamlitha met Andrea, a student missionary who taught at the school. After meeting 3 days in a row, Andrea asked Kamlitha if she wanted Bible studies. During those studies, Kamlitha decided to be baptized.
After her baptism, Kamlitha started praying for her husband, Harold. For two years she prayed for Harold, a chain smoker who drank heavily. Then Harold agreed to Bibles studies and gave his heart to Jesus. Harold and Kamlitha ended up sending all 8 of their children to the Adventist school and four of them were baptized. Kamlitha and Harold are active in their church and Kamlitha is now making plans to return to her native island to plant an Adventist church since there are no Adventists living on the island. Part of this thirteenth Sabbath offering will help Ebeye Seventh-day Adventist School carry out urgent repairs to its classrooms. Thank you for your mission offerings.
